For most collectors, a single booster is the lowest-risk way to sample Radiance, while a 24-pack booster display is the straightforward sealed purchase when you specifically want volume. Choose the Vault if storage, Runes and foil tokens matter, or the Seraphine vs. Evelynn Showdown Decks if you want ready-to-play products rather than randomized openings. None of these products guarantees an Ultimate Rare. Riot’s stated average is 0.025% of Radiance booster packs—about one in 4,000 across the entire print run—so a display is a larger opening, not a promise of a chase card.
Radiance is scheduled to release on October 23, 2026, in English, French and Chinese. The product information below comes from Riot’s dated announcements and store listing, plus a secondary launch-price guide; stock, packaging and event details can change around release.

Release timing and the Radiance lineup
Riot’s Radiance overview, dated September 25, 2026 and updated October 5, lists October 23, 2026 as the release date. It also lists previews through October 9 and Pre-Rift events from October 16 to 22. The overview said another update was expected on October 16, so verify the live product pages and your local event information before paying a premium for pre-release stock.

The announced lineup covers randomized packs, a larger sealed pack purchase, a storage-oriented bundle, two preconstructed decks and event kits. Riot’s product announcement describes the set as 167 cards, including 61 Showcase cards. The Riot Store uses different wording for the booster pool—180 cards with more than 60 Showcase cards—without explaining whether the pages count different items or use different scopes. Those figures should not be merged into one definitive set size.

Riot’s store calls the 24-pack product a “Booster Display.” Players sometimes call a product of this size a booster box, but the official listing and pack count are the useful details when comparing offers.
What comes in a Radiance booster pack?
Riot’s detailed overview gives the following pack structure. The order below follows the announced slots, not a prediction of which rarity you will receive.
- Seven Commons.
- Three Uncommons.
- Foil slot. This can be a Common, Uncommon, Rare or Epic.
- Rare-or-Epic slot.
- Premium slot. The possible results are Rare, Epic, Alt Art, Special Alt, Overnumber or Ultimate Rare.
- Token, Rune or Alt Art Rune.
- Informational insert.
The store listing compresses the foil and rare information into the phrase “2 foil Rares or better” and “1 foil of any rarity.” The detailed overview is the better source for explaining individual slots; the store’s shorter marketing line should not be treated as an additional pack configuration or as evidence of extra cards beyond the detailed list.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsEvery pack is randomized during manufacturing. A premium slot can produce an Ultimate Rare, but it can also produce any of the other premium results listed above. The presence of a premium slot therefore does not mean that each pack contains a high-end hit.
How rare is the Radiance Ultimate Rare?
Riot gives an average appearance rate of 0.025% of Radiance booster packs, which is approximately one Ultimate Rare in 4,000 packs. Riot describes that number as an average across the entire Radiance print run. It is a population-level rate, not a schedule that places one Ultimate in every 4,000-pack sequence.

Riot also states that no individual pack, booster display or case guarantees an Ultimate Rare, that a pack can contain at most one Ultimate Rare, and that stated rates are not guarantees for a specific purchase. In Riot’s words, “Pack contents are randomized during manufacturing.” Its companion warning says, “Any stated appearance rates reflect averages across the print run and are not guarantees of appearance in booster packs or booster displays.” Read those qualifications as part of the odds, not as fine print that a large order cancels.
A 24-pack display gives you 24 randomized opportunities, while a single pack gives you one. Neither format changes the published average or creates a guaranteed hit. If your goal is one particular chase card, decide whether the experience of opening sealed product is worth the uncertainty before buying more volume. The sources do not establish a reliable expected monetary return from opening Radiance products, so the Ultimate Rare rate should not be treated as an investment calculation.
Which Radiance product fits your goal?
For a first look at the set: buy one booster
A single booster is the smallest commitment and lets you experience the set’s randomized slots without paying for accessories or duplicate packs. It is the sensible starting point if you are unsure whether you want to collect Radiance, play the game or simply open a new set. Because the premium slot has several possible outcomes, buy a single pack for the opening itself rather than assuming it is a practical route to an Ultimate Rare.
For sealed Radiance volume: choose the 24-pack display
The display is the directly relevant larger purchase for a collector who wants Radiance packs in quantity. Riot’s store specifies 24 boosters per display. That gives you more cards and more chances to see different treatments than one pack, but the randomization and print-run average remain unchanged. A display does not guarantee an Ultimate Rare, a particular Legend, a Showcase card or any other named chase.
For storage and play accessories: choose the Vault
The Vault combines six Radiance boosters with a storage box, foil tokens and 36 Runes. It suits a collector who will use those extras rather than viewing every dollar as a request for more packs. Its six-pack count is lower than a display’s 24, so compare the complete contents—not just the number of boosters—when deciding whether the bundle makes sense for you.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)

For a playable starting point: choose the Showdown Decks
The Seraphine vs. Evelynn Showdown Deck product contains two 56-card preconstructed decks, two paper playmats, two booster packs and a rulebook, according to Riot’s product registration page. This is the most obviously play-oriented option: two people can begin with prepared decks and the included rules materials, while the two boosters provide a small Radiance opening. It is not a substitute for a display if your priority is maximizing the number of Radiance packs.
For event participation: consider a Pre-Rift kit
A Pre-Rift kit contains five Radiance boosters plus a seeded Pre-Rift pack for each of the nine new Legends. It is tied to the Pre-Rift event period rather than being a simple retail pack bundle. Check the date, organizer, entry terms and local supply before traveling or paying a markup. Riot also says the Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo is available through a local game store Pre-Rift event while supplies last; that promo is event-linked and should not be assumed to be inside every kit.
Launch MSRPs and what “worth buying” means
A secondary launch guide lists the following U.S. manufacturer suggested retail prices. The figures are launch MSRPs, not current offers, sale prices or a guarantee that a store will charge them; the guide identifies itself as a reference rather than a store.
| Product | Launch U.S. MSRP |
|---|---|
| Radiance booster pack | $4.99 |
| Radiance booster display (24 packs) | $119.99 |
| Seraphine vs. Evelynn Showdown Decks | $34.99 |
| Radiance Vault | $34.99 |
The launch-price reference is Riftbound.org’s product guide. No launch MSRP is provided there for the Pre-Rift kit, so event organizers may set the relevant entry or product price.
For a collector, “worth buying” depends on what you want to own. The display concentrates your budget in randomized packs; the Vault trades some pack volume for storage and game materials; the Showdown Decks put most of their value in ready-to-play decks and play accessories. None of those formats is established by the available sources as having better pull odds, resale performance or investment returns.

Availability, ordering limits and release-channel cautions
When accessed for the product information used here, Riot’s official display listing showed the booster display as out of stock. That status applies to the Riot Store at the time it was observed; it does not prove that local game stores, mass retailers or other marketplaces have no inventory.
The Riot Store listing says purchases require a Riot ID, are limited to one per Riot ID per print run and are final subject to applicable local law. Riot’s registration page also says that being selected does not guarantee purchase or reservation and that availability is limited. Those rules describe Riot’s own sales channel, not every retailer’s policy.
Before paying above launch MSRP, verify all of the following on the seller’s live page:
- Whether the item is a sealed display, a loose pack or a bundle with different contents.
- The stated release or shipping date and whether the seller is offering a preorder or released stock.
- The language edition: Radiance is announced for English, French and Chinese releases.
- Return, cancellation and final-sale terms.
- Whether the seller is an authorized local game store or event organizer when a Pre-Rift kit or promo is involved.
Why the card-count numbers do not match
Two official pages use different totals. Riot’s products-and-sets announcement reports 167 cards, including 61 Showcase. The Riot Store display page describes a 180-card booster pool with more than 60 Showcase cards. Neither page explains whether one number includes additional variants, promotional items, or a different counting method.
Use the 167-card figure when referring to the set announcement and the 180-card wording when describing the store’s booster-pool listing. Until Riot clarifies the scope, avoid telling buyers that Radiance definitively has one single card total. The discrepancy does not by itself indicate missing cards or a change in pull odds.

A practical buying plan for collectors
- Set your purpose first. Decide whether you want the opening experience, a playable product, storage and accessories, or event participation. This prevents buying a display when what you really need is a deck product, or buying decks when you wanted sealed volume.
- Choose a format that matches that purpose. Use one booster for a trial opening, a 24-pack display for sealed Radiance volume, the Vault for six packs plus storage and accessories, the Showdown Decks for two ready-to-play decks, or a Pre-Rift kit for the event-linked contents.
- Budget using launch MSRP as a reference, not a promise. Compare the seller’s current total with the published launch figures and account for shipping, taxes and any event entry fee. A higher price is not evidence of better odds.
- Read the exact contents before checkout. Confirm pack count, language, deck count, accessories and whether the product is sealed. Pay particular attention to listings that use “box” informally while showing a different quantity.
- Decide in advance what happens if the chase card does not appear. Riot’s average and no-guarantee language mean a purchase can produce no Ultimate Rare even when it contains many packs. Buy only an amount you are comfortable owning as cards and accessories, not an amount justified by a hoped-for hit.
- Keep sealed items and receipts separate if condition matters. Store displays, Vaults and event products in a dry, stable place, and record the seller and purchase date. This is a handling precaution for your collection, not a claim about future value.
Common mistakes to avoid
Confusing a display with a guaranteed pull
Twenty-four packs are a quantity, not a guarantee. The Ultimate Rare figure is averaged over the print run, and Riot expressly excludes packs, displays and cases from any guarantee.
Reading the store summary as a second pack recipe
The store’s “2 foil Rares or better” and “1 foil of any rarity” wording is a compressed description. Use the detailed slot list from Riot’s overview when you need to know what a pack can contain; do not add the two descriptions together.
Treating launch MSRP as today’s price
The listed prices are launch U.S. MSRPs from a secondary guide. They do not establish current stock, retailer pricing, shipping charges or a fair resale price.
Recommended Free Tools
Assuming every event kit is interchangeable with retail product
The Pre-Rift kit’s seeded packs and the Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo are tied to the event context and supply conditions. Confirm local organizer details instead of assuming a general retail bundle includes them.
Forcing the two card totals into one checklist
Keep Riot’s 167-card announcement figure and its store’s 180-card booster-pool wording attached to their respective pages until the counting difference is explained.
Bottom-line recommendations
Buy a single booster if you want to sample Radiance with minimal commitment. Buy the 24-pack display when your priority is a larger sealed opening and you accept that no chase card is promised. Choose the Vault when its storage box, foil tokens and 36 Runes are part of the value you want. Choose the Showdown Decks when playing with two prepared decks matters more than pack volume. Choose a Pre-Rift kit only when its event-linked seeded packs and local availability fit your plans.
Whichever route you take, treat the 0.025% Ultimate Rare figure as a print-run average—not a target that a box, case or spending threshold unlocks.
