Rise of the Ronin launched on Windows PC via Steam on March 10, 2025, according to KOEI TECMO America. KOEI TECMO Europe announced March 11, 2025, and confirmed the game was then available on Steam. Both dates have passed, so the PC version is already released.
When did Rise of the Ronin come out on PC?
KOEI TECMO America announced the Steam release for March 10, 2025, in a notice dated January 27, 2025. Its announcement said the game would come to “Windows PC via Steam® March 10, 2025.” Read the KOEI TECMO America announcement.
KOEI TECMO Europe gave March 11, 2025, as the release date in its January 27 announcement, then posted a launch notice on March 11 confirming that the game was available on Steam. The one-day difference reflects the dates given by the two regional publishers; both notices identify Steam as the PC platform. Read KOEI TECMO Europe’s release announcement or its Steam launch notice.
What platforms are available, and does the PC version differ?
The game was previously released for PS5 and later came to Windows PC through Steam. KOEI TECMO support says the Steam and PS5 versions have the same base-game content, including story and missions. The listed differences concern PC features rather than a separate campaign. See KOEI TECMO’s platform-version support information.

What PC features does the Steam version support?
KOEI TECMO lists the following capabilities for the Steam version. They describe supported features, not measured results: support for 8K resolution and 120 fps does not mean every PC can render the game at either target. Actual results depend on the computer and settings.
- DirectX 12 Ultimate and ray tracing
- Ultra-wide and super-ultra-wide display compatibility
- Resolution support up to 8K and frame rates up to 120 fps
- AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex, and Intel XeSS
- 3D audio
- Customizable keyboard and mouse controls, plus a mouse-clickable user interface
These are features the publisher advertises for PC, not a promise of a particular frame rate, image quality, or compatibility on an individual system. The PC release announcement lists the supported technologies.
