Nintendo UK lists Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration for Nintendo Switch 2, with a release date of 9 June 2026. That date has passed, so check the current Nintendo eShop listing in your region for availability. This is a Switch 2 listing for a named edition of Rise—not a newly announced game celebrating the Tomb Raider franchise’s 20th anniversary.
What Nintendo confirmed
Nintendo UK’s product page identifies Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration as a Nintendo Switch 2 game and gives 9 June 2026 as its release date. The listing points to purchase through Nintendo eShop. It does not establish a physical cartridge release or confirm availability through other retailers. Nintendo UK’s listing is regional; buyers elsewhere should check their local storefront for current status and details.

Why “20th anniversary” can be misleading
“20 Year Celebration” is part of the title of this particular edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider. The official Tomb Raider games catalog dates that edition to 2016. The phrase does not mean the Tomb Raider franchise is marking its 20th anniversary in 2026. The official games catalog provides the edition context.
In 2026, the franchise reaches its 30th anniversary. The official announcement says, “2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the Tomb Raider series.” Tomb Raider’s official news page covers the anniversary announcement.

How this listing relates to the newly announced Tomb Raider games
Nintendo’s Switch 2 listing is for an edition of an existing game. Separately, the franchise’s 30th-anniversary announcement presented Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis as a reimagining of the 1996 debut and announced Tomb Raider: Catalyst as another upcoming game. Those are distinct announcements, not alternate names for the Switch 2 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider. The official announcement and corporate confirmation are available from Tomb Raider and Embracer Group.
