If Hallowed Concepts is not showing up in Risk of Rain 2, first check that you are playing on a supported platform and signed into the account that owns the DLC. Then distinguish an ownership problem from a download or in-game access problem. The expansion launched on October 8, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S; the cited launch listings do not establish support for PS4, Xbox One, or Switch. 2K’s October 8, 2026 patch notes, the PlayStation Store listing, and the Xbox Store listing identify those platforms.
What does “not showing up” mean?
The fix depends on where the problem occurs. The DLC may be missing from the store or account, owned but not installed, or installed yet unavailable to your character in a run. Check in that order: platform eligibility, ownership, installation, then in-game access.

- Missing from the store or account: Confirm the platform and the account used for the purchase.
- Owned but not installed: Check the platform’s DLC installation state and start the download if needed.

Is Hallowed Concepts supported on your platform?
2K’s October 8, 2026 patch notes name PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for the expansion. The official PlayStation and Xbox listings are for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, respectively. The cited launch information does not list PS4, Xbox One, or Switch, so do not assume that owning Risk of Rain 2 on one of those editions makes this DLC available there.
Check the current listing for your region and platform before troubleshooting a download. Store availability and compatibility can vary, and the cited sources do not provide a region-by-region compatibility matrix.

How to check that your account owns the DLC
On Steam
- Open Library and right-click Risk of Rain 2.
- Select Properties, then open the DLC tab.
- Look for Hallowed Concepts. Valve’s Steamworks documentation says a DLC that does not appear in this tab is not owned by the account currently in use.
- If it is missing, confirm you are signed into the account that made the purchase and check that account’s purchase history before trying to reinstall.
If the DLC appears in the tab, check its installation status there. Steam’s documentation says the tab can also be used to initiate a download. Valve’s Steamworks DLC documentation covers these ownership and installation checks.
On PlayStation or Xbox
Confirm that Hallowed Concepts appears as owned on the platform account you use to launch the game, and verify that the account matches the one that purchased it. The sources cited here do not give a game-specific menu sequence for checking console ownership, so use the current store or account interface rather than assuming the base game’s presence proves DLC ownership.

How to repair an owned DLC that is not loading
Once ownership is confirmed, use the steps for your platform. 2K’s troubleshooting guidance recommends clearing cache, updating console firmware, reinstalling the DLC by itself first, and reinstalling the base game with all DLC only if the earlier steps fail. These are troubleshooting steps, not a guaranteed fix.

Steam
- In Library, right-click Risk of Rain 2 and choose Properties > DLC. Confirm Hallowed Concepts is installed; start its download there if the option is available.
- Remove mods temporarily, then verify the game files using Steam’s installed-game properties. 2K recommends both steps for Steam issues.
- If the DLC still fails to load, uninstall and reinstall the DLC alone. If that does not resolve the problem, reinstall Risk of Rain 2 and all its DLC.
PlayStation 5
- Verify the console licenses for the account that owns the DLC.
- Clear the system or game cache and make sure the console firmware is up to date.
- If the issue continues, reinstall Hallowed Concepts by itself first. Reinstall the full game and all DLC only if that fails.
Xbox Series X|S
- Remove the Xbox profile from the console, then add it again, as 2K recommends for Xbox issues.
- Clear the system or game cache and update the console firmware.
- If the DLC still does not load, reinstall it by itself. If necessary, reinstall the full game and all DLC.

Why can you see DLC content without owning it?
In a Steam lobby, one player owning Hallowed Concepts enables its monsters, levels, and items to appear for the whole lobby. That does not give every participant the expansion’s personal unlocks: players without it cannot select the new survivors or permanently unlock new items, logbooks, and other content. So seeing expansion content during a hosted run does not prove that your own account owns the DLC. The Steam listing for Hallowed Concepts describes these multiplayer access limits.

If the store shows that the correct account owns the DLC but the game still treats it as unowned after the platform-specific checks and reinstall sequence, contact the relevant platform support or 2K. Include your platform, the account used to purchase and launch the game, what the store or Steam DLC tab shows, and which repair steps you tried. The available guidance does not diagnose every account-specific entitlement mismatch.
