To beat Level 1, called the Poolrooms, turn all six valves to open the exit, then cross the deep pool, follow the corridor, and drop through the hole to reach Level 2. The community guide describes the valves by nearby landmarks rather than a fixed route, so use the list below to check each area.
Find and turn all six valves
The community-maintained Level 1 guide identifies these six locations:
- By the starting door: Look to the right of the door where you begin.
- Near the exit: Continue farther to the right from the exit and walk around the corner. The second valve is there.
- Pink lamp and pillar: Check the pillar beneath a pink lamp near the second valve.
- Green lamp: Look behind a wall near a green lamp.
- Pool with a pillar: From the fourth valve, search to its right, beside a pool containing a pillar.
- Western pipe: Look for a valve on a pipe in the western part of the level, near the third valve.
These are landmark-based directions, not a guaranteed turn-by-turn path. If you cannot find one, search around its associated lamp, wall, pillar, pool, or pipe rather than assuming the valve count is different.
Turn valves and confirm the exit has opened
According to the community guide, use A or D on PC to turn a valve. On mobile, hold the arrow controls. Keep interacting until the valve turns.

After all six are turned, check the exit: the guide says its indicator changes from red to green, and a sound provides another completion cue. If the exit has not signaled that it is open, revisit the landmarks and check for a missed valve.
Cross the pool and reach Level 2
Once the gate opens, go through the deep pool area, continue down the corridor, and drop through the hole to enter Level 2. The guide warns that water slows movement, underwater visibility is reduced, and staying submerged too long can lead to drowning. Keep moving through the water and avoid lingering underwater.

How reliable are these valve directions?
The locations and mechanics above come from a community-maintained Fandom walkthrough, not a developer-authored guide. The Roblox experience listing describes Apeirophobia as a puzzle-and-entity experience and warns that content may change and may not match the wiki. Treat the landmarks as useful guidance, not a guarantee that every current game build uses an identical layout.
