Roblox Error Code 908 is commonly reported with the message “You Have Signed Up Too Many Times Today.” That usually points to temporary rate limiting of signup or authentication attempts, but Roblox has not published a dedicated explanation for code 908. It is also absent from Roblox’s current official error-code list.
Stop pressing Sign Up, Log In, or Retry repeatedly. Check Roblox Status, wait several hours, then test the existing account through an official Roblox app or website. If the message follows you across devices and networks, contact Roblox Support rather than trying to bypass the restriction.
What Roblox Error Code 908 means
Third-party troubleshooting pages and Roblox-focused videos associate Error 908 with “You Have Signed Up Too Many Times Today.” The wording suggests Roblox’s abuse-prevention system has temporarily limited account-creation or authentication activity.
The exact trigger is not publicly documented. It could involve multiple account-creation attempts, repeated failed logins or verification attempts, rapid retries, activity from a shared household, school, workplace or mobile network, a temporary Roblox-side restriction, or a stale authentication session. Do not assume the limit is definitely tied to your IP address, router, Xbox, account or a specific number of attempts.

Do these low-risk checks first
- Stop retrying. Repeated clicks can prolong or retrigger a temporary limit.
- Close Roblox and the browser or app that displayed the message.
- Check the live status page at status.roblox.com. Status is time-sensitive; an operational display is only a snapshot.
- Wait several hours. There is no Roblox-published 908 waiting period, so do not rely on claims that it always lasts exactly 24 hours or resets at midnight.
- Confirm which action you need. If you already have an account, choose Log In instead of creating another one.
- Use only official Roblox access. Test the Roblox website or official app without a VPN, proxy, modified client or unofficial launcher.
- Try one trusted alternative. A second official device or network can show whether the problem is local or account-wide.
Fixes by platform
Android
- Open Settings.
- Choose Apps or Apps & notifications, then select Roblox.
- Open Storage or Storage & cache.
- Tap Clear cache first.
- If the problem remains, use Clear storage, Clear data or the equivalent option.
- Reopen Roblox and sign in to the existing account.
Clearing data resets the local app session and normally signs you out; it does not delete your Roblox account, inventory or Robux. Make sure you know the correct credentials before using it. Android data clearing is a general session troubleshooting step, not a confirmed Error 908-specific fix; secondary coverage demonstrates the approach at this video.
iPhone and iPad
- Force-close Roblox and restart the device.
- Update Roblox in the App Store.
- If the account is accessible, sign out and back in.
- Delete and reinstall Roblox if the app appears corrupted.
- Test the account at the official Roblox website in Safari or another supported browser.
Reinstalling removes the local app, not the Roblox account. Roblox’s platform support resources are listed in its technical-support category.

If you are creating a new account
Stop creating additional accounts while the message is active. Complete one legitimate signup through the official Roblox website or app, avoid automated tools and unofficial clients, and do not ask several people on the same network to create accounts during the restriction. Rotating IP addresses, using a VPN or signing up through a third-party service is not a safe workaround and may trigger further security checks.

If you are logging into an existing account
A stale session, temporary authentication problem or local app data may be responsible. Test the official website, then the official app, then one other trusted device or network. If the account fails everywhere, stop reinstalling repeatedly: the issue is more likely account-side, service-side or a broader restriction.
Is Roblox down?
Check the live Roblox Status page before changing router or firewall settings. Roblox explains that outages and maintenance can delay websites, applications, experience joining and other services in What happens when Roblox is down. If an incident is active, wait for recovery instead of repeatedly changing local settings.
Cache, router, DNS and port-forwarding advice
| Action | When it makes sense | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Clear app or browser data | The error is isolated to one device or session | It may sign you out; it is not a confirmed 908 fix |
| Restart the router | Other devices also have Roblox connection problems | It will not necessarily remove a signup limit |
| Switch Wi-Fi to Ethernet or mobile data | You need to diagnose a network-specific failure | Do not use network changes to evade a restriction |
| Change DNS | Only when broader DNS failures are evident | Roblox does not document DNS as a 908 remedy |
| Forward ports | Rare, broader connection troubleshooting only | Not a first-line or verified Error 908 solution |
Roblox’s PC connection guidance mentions UDP ports 49152–65535 for general connectivity, not as proof that Error 908 is a port problem. Incorrect port forwarding can disrupt other devices and increase network exposure.

When one experience fails
If Roblox works normally except for one experience, do not automatically treat that as Error 908. Roblox notes that an individual experience can be broken, overloaded or improperly built: General Connection Problems.
When to contact Roblox Support
Contact Support if the message remains after waiting, login fails on multiple official devices, a legitimate signup is still blocked, the account may be compromised, or the error followed a purchase, verification, moderation action or password reset. Also contact Support whenever you receive a different code or message.
Use roblox.com/support and include:
- Username.
- Device and operating system.
- Exact error text and code.
- Date and time of the incident.
- Whether it occurs on other devices or networks.
- Steps that reproduce it and recent account, password, app or network changes.
- A safe screenshot, if useful.
Roblox’s contact instructions are at Contact Us.
Avoid scams while troubleshooting
- Never share your password, browser cookie,
.ROBLOSECURITYtoken or two-factor code. - Do not download “Error 908 repair tools.”
- Do not pay anyone promising to remove a signup restriction.
- Do not use unofficial launchers or third-party signup websites.
FAQ
Is Error 908 permanent?
Nothing in Roblox’s public documentation establishes it as permanent. A persistent message still requires Support rather than endless retries.

Does Error 908 mean my account is banned?
No. The commonly reported wording indicates a signup or authentication limit, not a confirmed ban. Roblox has not published an official definition for code 908.
Does it affect Xbox only?
No. Secondary coverage links it to Xbox, but the same message may involve account creation, authentication or sessions on other platforms.
Can a VPN bypass Error 908?
Do not use a VPN to evade the restriction. Changing network origin can trigger additional security checks and does not address the underlying cause.
What if Roblox does not list my code?
