During a Blood Moon, special weather could create the Bloodlit mutation, a Night Staff could improve Bloodlit crop yield, and a temporary shop accepted Sheckles. No reliable source confirms that the 2025 event is active or scheduled to return on September 30, 2026, so treat the dates and prices below as archival and check the live Roblox event panel for a rerun.
How to get Blood Moon in Grow a Garden
Blood Moon did not have a manual activation button. It replaced an ordinary Night with approximately a 33% (one-in-three) chance, according to the 2025 Grow a Garden Update Log. When the roll succeeded, the sky turned red and the Blood Moon weather announcement appeared.
The archived event window was May 17–31, 2025. A current-event report checked in August 2026 found no creator-controlled schedule confirming a return. For any present-day event, rely on the in-game event panel and dated creator announcements rather than old countdowns or community claims.
Blood Moon chance, duration and crop processing
| Feature | Blood Moon record | Ordinary Night |
|---|---|---|
| How it starts | Replaces a normal Night at about a 33% chance | Normal Night cycle |
| Weather duration | 15-minute Blood Moon cycle | Not stated in the event record |
| Mutation | Bloodlit | No Bloodlit application documented |
| Mutation multiplier | 4× | Not applicable |
| Crop processing | Six crops can become Bloodlit once every 40 seconds over four minutes | No matching Bloodlit processing rule documented |
| Gear support | Night Staff increases Bloodlit crop yield | No Blood Moon shop access |
| Shop | Temporary Blood Moon Shop using Sheckles | Not available |
The 15-minute weather cycle and the four-minute crop-processing window are separate timings. Be ready before the weather begins so you do not spend the opening part of the event rearranging your garden.

What does Bloodlit do?
Bloodlit is the Blood Moon-specific crop mutation. The 2025 update documentation gives it a 4× multiplier. The weather record says up to six crops can be processed once every 40 seconds during a four-minute period, allowing repeated opportunities to produce Bloodlit crops while the event is running.
The documentation does not establish that every crop in a garden becomes Bloodlit, nor does it provide a universal sell-price formula beyond the 4× mutation multiplier. Keep valuable, harvest-ready plants in place and prioritize the crops you most want exposed to the processing cycles.

How to use Night Staff
A Night Staff is the event gear associated with Bloodlit crops. The weather documentation says it increases Bloodlit crop yield; it does not state a new mutation multiplier or guarantee a Bloodlit result.
- Have the Night Staff available before the Blood Moon weather starts.
- Keep target crops planted and positioned for the Bloodlit processing cycles.
- Use the staff during the Blood Moon window, then harvest after the relevant cycles complete.
- Compare your results with and without the staff only if the live game provides current stats, since the archived record does not quantify the increase.
Blood Moon shop items and historical Sheckle prices
The shop appeared when Blood Moon began and used Sheckles. The following table reproduces the archived item list and prices; these are historical virtual-item prices, not a promise that a future rerun will use the same stock or costs.

A practical Blood Moon preparation route
Before the Night cycle
- Leave the garden planted rather than harvesting everything immediately before Night.
- Choose valuable crops that you want to expose to Bloodlit processing.
- Keep enough Sheckles available for the temporary shop if it appears.
- Equip or stage a Night Staff if you own one.
When the red sky appears
- Verify the Blood Moon weather announcement; a normal Night does not open the Blood Moon Shop.
- Position or retain target crops so the six-crop processing opportunities can affect them.
- Run the Night Staff during the Bloodlit window if available.
- Track the 40-second intervals across the four-minute processing period instead of harvesting too early.
- Open the Blood Moon Shop immediately and check current stock before buying.
After the weather ends
Harvest the crops that received Bloodlit and record which items or mutations actually appeared in the current version. Do not assume an archived rerun has identical odds, prices or inventory.

Is Blood Moon active now?
No source cited for this guide verifies the 2025 Blood Moon event as active or announces a return on September 30, 2026. Exact event names and mechanics in later community reports remained community-reported because an accessible creator-written rules page was unavailable. If you are playing now, the live event panel and a dated creator announcement are the authoritative checks; the archived mechanics above explain what to do only if Blood Moon appears.
