It set out an intended collaboration—not a technical roadmap or proof of results. In a later reply, Roblox forum account Bitdancer said the goal was to reduce cheating and exploiting until they had no major impact on users and creators, not to eradicate them completely.
What did Roblox announce?
In a Roblox Developer Forum post dated October 27, 2023, at 5:50 p.m., staff member Bitdancer described a partnership with Synapse Softworks LLC. The announcement characterized the arrangement as a shift from being on opposing sides to working together on platform security. Roblox said Synapse would work with the company to analyze security issues and develop countermeasures. Read the announcement on the Roblox Developer Forum.
The post did not spell out the technical methods, name specific countermeasures, give deployment dates, or set out success metrics. Its description of planned work should not be mistaken for a list of measures already implemented or independently verified results.
Why did Roblox say it was doing this?
Roblox framed the collaboration as part of its effort to make the platform safer and fairer. The announcement also referred to a prior ban wave that it said affected “hundreds of thousands of players”; it did not provide an exact count or an independently attributable measurement. That characterization is not a precise statistic.

Did Roblox say it could eliminate exploiting completely?
No. In a reply to the discussion on November 28, 2023, Bitdancer set out a more limited goal: “Exploiting has never been and will never be completely eradicated. The aim is to minimize cheating and exploiting to a level that has no major impact on users and creators.” Read Bitdancer’s reply.
That statement distinguishes the objective from a promise of zero exploits. The announcement and reply do not provide measurements showing whether the stated target was reached.
