A July 18, 2024 report described two obscured character-reference images from an alleged PlayStation first-party action-adventure casting call: one for a salt-and-pepper-haired man aged 40–60 and another for a brunette woman aged 20–60. The report did not identify the game or its studio. MP1st later linked the male reference to Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, but that was an outlet’s inference—not a confirmed connection.
What did the July 2024 report describe?
MP1st reported on July 18, 2024, that an alleged casting call sought hair references for two roles in a PlayStation first-party action-adventure game. The report said entertainment insider DanielRPK had shared the call on Patreon and that Jamie Bafus, identified as Sony PlayStation Studios Worldwide’s casting director, was listed on it.

| Reported role reference | Description in MP1st’s report |
|---|---|
| Older male character | Salt-and-pepper hair; aged 40–60 |
| Female character | Brunette; aged 20–60 |
According to MP1st, the faces and clothing in the reference images were obscured. The report described the project as involving “intense violence and potential profanity.” These details are what the outlet said appeared in the casting material; the notice and images have not been independently authenticated by the sources reviewed.
What game is the rumored art from?
The July report did not name a title or studio. Its material was described as casting-call character references, not as a public game reveal or verified gameplay art. The available reporting does not establish which game the references belonged to.

Is this Naughty Dog’s next game?
The original report raised Naughty Dog as a possibility, partly because the casting call reportedly surfaced around the time Neil Druckmann discussed the studio’s next project. That timing was circumstantial speculation, not evidence identifying Naughty Dog as the developer.
Was the reference confirmed to be from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet?
No confirmation appears in the sources reviewed. In its December 12, 2024 coverage of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, MP1st said the older character shown in the game’s reveal trailer resembled the earlier casting-call reference and inferred a possible link. The report identified Intergalactic as a PS5 game, but the resemblance does not establish that the casting call was for it or that Sony or Naughty Dog confirmed the connection.
