The Run Wikia places its first on-screen appearance in the cutscene “Wormhole in Sight,” shown after Level T-7, and credits the Student with first identifying it. That reveal marks a discovery—not a confirmed journey through the Wormhole.
Why the Wormhole matters in Run 3
Run 3’s Kongregate listing describes a story about ten unique aliens investigating the gravity-shifting Tunnels and looking for a path to the distant Wormhole. It is presented as a major narrative objective, not as a real astronomical phenomenon or a prerequisite for playing: the listing says players can ignore the story and go home.
The listing also calls the story ongoing, so the Wormhole mystery should not be treated as having a final resolution on the strength of that description alone. It attributes the line “The story is ongoing, so stay tuned for updates!” to the developer account player_03.
Who first identifies the Wormhole?
The community-maintained Run Wikia Wormhole entry credits the Student with first identifying it. This is a community-wiki account, not a statement attributed here to the game’s developer.

When does “Wormhole in Sight” appear?
According to the same community page, the Wormhole is first shown in the cutscene “Wormhole in Sight,” displayed after the player beats Level T-7. In progression terms, T-7 is the documented point to reach for the reveal.
The page also associates beating T-7 and discovering the Wormhole with the achievement “A Glimpse of New Places.” The achievement reflects discovery; the cited account does not establish that it means the player can enter or travel through the Wormhole.

What is beyond the Wormhole?
Its destination is unknown in the cited community account. The Student believes it might lead to other Tunnels, but that is a character’s belief—not a confirmed destination or an established account of what happens after entering it. The evidence supports describing the Wormhole as a mystery the story’s cast is pursuing, not claiming that it leads to a particular place.

The Kongregate listing describes Run 3 as playable in a browser and on mobile devices. It lists arrow keys or WASD for movement and Space to jump.
