Which class should a beginner choose?
A June 17, 2025 beginner guide describes six base classes, but community class pages disagree about the roster size: one reports seven and includes Samurai. Treat the six-class list below as a dated snapshot, not a verified October 2026 roster. Check the current character-creation screen and in-game update notes before committing to a class or build. - Pick your pace and risk: Thief emphasizes mobility and burst, while Warrior leans toward durability. Striker favors chained attacks.
- Decide whether you want support: Priest is the healing-oriented choice in the guide; Magician is described as offering buffs and debuffs.
- Check your preferred activity: the guide makes some PvE and PvP distinctions, but its class judgments are not a guarantee of current patch performance.
Do race and class need to match?
A race/class pairing guide updated June 17, 2025 recommends combinations based on racial passives, but these are suggestions from that guide’s Update 2 snapshot—not mandatory or verified optimal builds. Examples include Human with Warrior (or Striker), Elf with Magician (or Archer), Orc with Striker (or Warrior), Ailuran with Thief (or Archer), and Slime with Magician (or Priest). Its subclass suggestions include Berserker or Knight for Human Warrior, Warlock for Elf Magician, Assassin for Ailuran Thief, and Warlock or Cleric for Slime. Because the article contains an apparent inconsistency in at least one subclass recommendation, confirm race passives and class options against current in-game descriptions before using a pairing. Race availability and reroll costs are especially worth checking before spending. A community race page marked as a stub lists common Human, Elf, and Orc options for a first free slot and reports a 150 Robux reroll; the June 2025 beginner guide also reports that price. Before focusing on a detailed build, get comfortable attacking, feinting, using heavy attacks, parrying or blocking, and dashing. Those actions shape moment-to-moment combat regardless of which class you select.
How do you progress early?
The supported beginner route is to follow NPC quests and take jobs from the Adventurer’s Guild board, rather than rely on an unverified “fastest leveling” method. The guide describes NPC quests as non-repeatable sources of experience, currency, and items. It places the Adventurer’s Guild headquarters near the Wayshire Job Board and says that completing five jobs of any kind unlocks a special rank-up job on the board, usually involving a boss. - Find the Adventurer’s Guild near the Wayshire Job Board and speak to the receptionist about jobs.
- Complete board jobs and check the board again after five completions for a rank-up job, as described by the June 2025 guide.
- Use the quest and job rewards to support your ongoing progression; the guide says NPC quests can reward experience, currency, and items.
What other early systems are useful?
- Inventory and selling: the guide says you can sell unwanted items to John the Merchant in Wayshire and expand inventory by equipping a bag item.
- Crafting and gathering: collect resources for recipes and use the blacksmith and crafting stations in Wayshire. The guide places the first blacksmith in eastern Wayshire.
- Fishing: Simon the Fisherman in the starting town is described as a source for a beginner fishing rod and bait.
- Pet taming: creatures can be tamed using their preferred food, according to the guide.
