Stadium football parking is restricted to season ticket holders, and an annual Ryan Field parking permit does not override the game-day restriction. If you need to drive, check the current game’s campus parking options and reserve through the official JustPark link; otherwise, plan for transit, a shuttle, biking, or the designated rideshare point.
Where is New Ryan Field?

Can you park at Ryan Field on game day?
Football parking at the stadium is restricted. Northwestern Transportation & Parking states, “No parking at Ryan Field is allowed on football game days, even with a Ryan Field annual permit.” Game-day stadium parking is reserved for season ticket holders. The university’s game-day parking guidance directs fans to the New Ryan Field site for additional options.
That does not mean there are no parking options anywhere on campus. The venue directs fans to campus single-game parking maps and purchases through JustPark. Check the listing for your specific game before leaving: inventory, prices, and lot instructions can vary by event. Do not count on neighborhood street parking; event-day parking in the surrounding neighborhood is prohibited under city ordinances. Canal Shores Golf Course parking is no longer available.

Do not use the September 2026 temporary directions
Northwestern’s September 2, 2026, game-day announcement covered two games at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium before New Ryan Field opened on October 2. Its six-campus-lot arrangements, Ryan Field West Lot shuttle directions, and rideshare information applied to that temporary lakefront venue period—not current New Ryan Field games.
