Their announcement-era pitches ranged from a space MMO with battle-royale elements to an open-world RPG and a turn-based narrative strategy RPG. Despite the original “blockchain games” framing, blockchain features are not currently integrated into Lussa; the available sources do not establish the current release status of the other two games.
What Saga Origins announced
Saga Origins was presented as Saga Protocol’s publishing arm, working with independent studios on games that could be traditional online games or Web3 experiences. Saga said it wanted to help developers realize their creative visions. At the Gamescom 2024 event, CEO and co-founder Rebecca Liao described the initiative as “a place for the crazies to bring their craziest dreams into reality.” Saga’s Gamescom 2024 press release also quoted her saying the company valued “provocative games with powerful and divergent storylines.”
Saga previewed the showcase in an August 22, 2024 release; GamesBeat reported on the slate after the event on August 27. The titles below reflect how the games were described at announcement, not a guarantee that every planned feature or platform became available.
Which games were in the slate?
| Game | Announcement-era genre and structure | Platforms or availability stated then | Blockchain status established by the sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lussa: The Final Frontier | MMO space adventure with battle-royale gameplay; groups explore planets and compete to survive as humanity searches for a new home. | PC, console and mobile were announced as target platforms. | The current Epic Games Store FAQ says blockchain is not integrated and provides no gameplay or functional utility. No external wallet is required. |
| God’s Legacy | Third-person, open-world RPG drawing on Slavic, Sumerian and Olmec mythologies. | Platform availability is not stated in the reviewed sources. | Current blockchain functionality is not established in the reviewed sources. |
| Angelic: The Chaos Theatre | Dark sci-fi narrative strategy RPG with turn-based combat, single-player campaigns, multiplayer modes and choices intended to affect the game’s universe. | The 2024 announcement said it was in Open Alpha and downloadable on PC via Steam at that time. | The 2024 press material described blockchain integration for player ownership and community-driven governance. Whether those features are live now is not established. |
What each game was pitched as
Lussa: The Final Frontier
Lussa was announced as a multiplayer space adventure combining MMO and battle-royale elements. Its premise puts groups of players on planets as they search for a way forward after Earth is imperiled. Saga’s release listed PC, console and mobile, but those were target platforms in 2024—not confirmation of a release on all three. Saga’s announcement description supplies the original pitch.

For blockchain specifics, the current product FAQ is more relevant than older promotional descriptions: the Epic Games Store FAQ for Lussa: The Final Frontier says blockchain technology is not currently integrated, has no current gameplay or functional utility, and does not require an external wallet. NFT ownership and an optional marketplace are described as future-facing possibilities, not active features.
God’s Legacy
Saga described God’s Legacy as a third-person open-world RPG built around stories inspired by Slavic, Sumerian and Olmec mythologies. Its 2024 materials named Unreal Engine 5.4. These are publisher announcement claims; they do not independently verify the game’s technical implementation or how its gameplay performs. The announcement is available in Saga’s God’s Legacy description.
Rank #2
Angelic: The Chaos Theatre
Metaverse Game Studios’ Angelic was described as a dark science-fiction strategy RPG built around turn-based combat and consequential narrative choices. Its announced structure included solo campaigns alongside multiplayer modes. Saga’s 2024 press material said the game used blockchain for player ownership and community-driven governance, and that it was in Open Alpha with a PC download via Steam at the time. That dated status should not be read as evidence of current availability. See Saga’s announcement description of Angelic.
Are the games available now?
The available sources do not establish a current release or cancellation status for God’s Legacy or Angelic: The Chaos Theatre. Likewise, the 2024 Open Alpha reference for Angelic is not a current availability confirmation. For Lussa, its Epic Games Store FAQ provides current information about blockchain and wallet functionality, but the reviewed material does not establish a complete release-status timeline across the platforms Saga originally named.

A later Saga AI Labs event-recap page lists a June 1, 2026 article titled “Saga Sells Crypto Arm as Success in AI Business Grows, Launches Saga AI Labs.” That indicates a subsequent strategic-shift announcement, but it does not by itself establish the transaction details or the present status of any of these three games. The Saga AI Labs page is therefore context, not confirmation that the slate was cancelled or that a particular title shipped.

The label does not mean all three games had the same blockchain design—or that blockchain functions are active today. Saga’s announcement positioned Origins as a publisher for both traditional online games and Web3 projects. The 2024 material explicitly discussed ownership and community governance for Angelic, while the current Lussa FAQ says blockchain is not integrated and has no present gameplay utility. The sources reviewed do not establish current blockchain features for God’s Legacy.
