A 2016 Droid Life article used it in its headline but called the Android game Super Battle for Goku Devil in the body. That article describes a simple Dragon Ball Z-inspired boss fighter; it does not establish that the game is still on Google Play or that later listings named Saiyan Battle are the same release.
What is Saiyan Battle about?
In its March 22, 2016 article, Droid Life describes a one-boss-at-a-time ladder: defeat an opponent, then face a tougher one. The early rounds leave enough energy for attacks including Ki Blast, Kamehameha, Dragon Recall, and Big Bang Attack. Attacks consume energy, and defeated bosses drop power-ups that restore it. The historical article characterizes the game as easy to pick up, not as a deep fighting-game simulation. Its writer, identified only as Tim, called it: “This game is as straightforward as can be, having you play as a Super Saiyan warrior.”
How do the controls work?
Droid Life reported two-finger touch controls: use one finger to move the character up or down to dodge, and another to attack the boss. It said timing evasive movement could help avoid incoming attacks. This is the 2016 article’s account of the controls, not confirmation of how a current build behaves.

Is the Android game still available?
Current availability of the original Google Play game is not established. The 2016 article points readers to “Super Battle for Goku Devil” on Google Play, but does not prove that it remains listed there.
Uptodown lists a free, proprietary Android APK titled Saiyan Battle, version 1.4.2, by LIP Studio. Its listing gives a file size of 48.2 MB and a date of March 3, 2022. Those details identify a later listing, but do not prove it is the same app or build discussed in the 2016 article. Uptodown displays 28,933 downloads for that listing; this is a platform-reported APK download count, not a count of active players or sales. Uptodown’s Saiyan Battle listing

What is the separate browser game?
Y8 has its own listing called Saiyan Battle, added August 25, 2023. It describes a free game that runs in a browser and is designed for desktop keyboard or mouse play rather than mobile. Its listing is tagged Dragon Ball Z, but the available information does not establish that this browser game shares a developer or underlying software with either Android listing. What did the 2016 article say about ads and purchases?
Droid Life reported a free download and play model, optional coin purchases for alternate character appearances, and video ads after a few rounds. It considered the cosmetic unlocks unnecessary unless a player wanted a different look. Those are historical details from 2016, not verified current terms for any app listing.
