It is a linear activity built around routing Resonance, closing conductors, solving Verity’s shape-and-identity puzzle, and surviving The Witness’s platform damage phase. This guide explains the team splits, callouts, wipe conditions, preparation, current reward behavior, challenges, and known loot.
The encounter order is fixed, but reward assignments and farming rules changed after the 2026 reward overhaul. Treat encounter-specific drop assignments as provisional and rely on the activity’s current in-game reward preview when planning a run.

| Dissipation — Herald of Finality | Three wing pairs | Collect and catch Resonance | Wrong-type catch | Conductor requirements and timing | Encounter clear; current assignment provisional |
| Repository — Carve a Path | Three fixed source lanes with assigned closers | Follow wiring and bank | Incorrect sequence or missing closer buff | Lane and wiring confirmation | Encounter clear; current assignment provisional |
| Verity — See Beyond | Inside and Outside teams | Dissect, build, and identify | Invalid key or identity mismatch | Highest in the raid | Encounter clear; current assignment provisional |
| Zenith — The Witness | Whole-team damage rotation | Break glyphs and survive | Missed test, unsafe platform, or slam | Target reads and movement calls | Encounter clear; Euphony is a rare Witness drop |
Raids are designed for fireteams of up to six players and award exclusive weapons, armor, and an Exotic. Salvation’s Edge became notorious during its World First race, which lasted 18 hours and 59 minutes. Bungie team member Jake later singled out Verity and The Witness as exceptionally challenging raid designs.
Preparation before launching
- Bring six clearly identifiable Guardians. Distinct silhouettes make Verity’s Outside matching substantially safer.
- Before Verity, enable shadows, use visually distinct armor or ornaments, and equip different Ghost shells. Avoid matching helmets, cloaks, or shells.
- Prioritize survivability, dependable add clear, and enough burst or sustained damage for your group’s plan.
- Cover Champions if the activity screen requires them. No encounter requires one specific weapon or subclass.
- Agree on short, stable callouts before starting. Do not rename rooms or shapes midway through a cycle.
Substratum: Gain Access to the Monolith
Split the routes
Divide into two groups of three. One group moves clockwise around the ring of rooms and the other moves counterclockwise. Each group clears Quantum Minotaurs and the opposing Keepers, then reports the room containing its Devotee.

#1 Best Overall
Close and bank the circuits
After the Devotee calls are made, return to the center and defeat the Threshold Sentinel. The two powered sender rooms can then pulse Resonance through the correct conductors. Close both circuits, bank the resulting progress, and repeat the route for three cycles.
Use fixed room names
Use consistent names such as Banner, Pillar, Shell, Glyph, Vase, Basement, Halo, and Bones. The useful call is the room name and its side, not a long description of the symbol. If a circuit does not close, recheck that the sender was powered and that Resonance went through the intended conductor before banking.
Dissipation: Herald of Finality
Clear each wing and read the order
Work in three pairs, one pair per wing. Clear the Blights to obtain Stolen Favor, then read all three conductor requirements. The required Resonance types must be collected in the displayed order rather than in whichever order is closest.
Arm and catch without swapping the type
The closer must be holding the required type before arming and catching the Resonance. A catch with the wrong type wipes the encounter, so the closer should announce the type, verify it visually, and only then begin the catch. Bank enough time before the final stand instead of trying to complete the last transfer at the deadline.

At Capacity challenge
For At Capacity, every player who deposits must deposit exactly three stacks. Assign deposits in advance and track stacks aloud; an uneven distribution fails the challenge even if the encounter is completed.
Repository: Carve a Path
Fix the three source lanes
Use the left lane for triangle, the middle lane for circle, and the right lane for square. Deposit the opening Resonance, then assign three players to close the Tormentor lanes. Keeping these roles fixed prevents a late swap from sending a closer to the wrong source.
Read the visible wiring
Follow the wiring shown in each room. The sequence can be straight, crossed, or a full rotation; never assume the next receiver from the previous room. Finish the intended pickups, confirm that each closer has the correct buff, and bank only after all three lanes are ready.
Complete all three rooms
After the first bank, clear the rear wave and repeat the process through three rooms. If progress stalls, check the lane assignment, the closer’s buff, and whether someone picked up a visually similar but unintended Resonance.

Verity is the raid’s major communication gate. Inside players manipulate shapes and construct a three-dimensional key while Outside players dissect statues and then resolve Guardian and Ghost identities. Everyone should use the same short memory line: Transfer both openers. Build not-own. Match Outside. Match identities.
Rank #3
Inside: transfer the opening shapes
Each Inside room begins with two shape instances. Transfer both opening shapes out of the room before attempting the final build. The objective is to create a valid three-dimensional key from the shape you do not own, not simply to collect whichever shape appears first.
Outside: dissect each statue
Outside players work on the paired statues and dissect them into the same object the Inside player is building. Confirm the object before moving to identities; a correct shape with the wrong statue assignment still fails the room.
Match Guardians and Ghosts
Number Ghost locations from left to right. Read the Guardian represented by the freshly completed slot, then match the shell owner to that Guardian. There is no fixed player-to-slot order, so do not use a memorized roster pattern. A mismatch between the Guardian read and the Ghost owner causes the wipe.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsMake the puzzle readable
- Keep shadows enabled so silhouettes remain distinguishable.
- Use different armor ornaments and Ghost shells for every player.
- Say the slot number, Guardian identity, and shell owner in that order.
- Have one person repeat the final match before anyone commits it.
Zenith: The Witness
Read the cuff and obtain Glyphbreaker
Read the target cuff’s mark and color to identify the required type. Obtain that type from another hand’s zone, return to the target, and shoot the cuff. This grants Glyphbreaker, allowing the player to break one of the six chest glyphs in the Light pool.
Perform the shape test
The last broken hand determines the test shape. A floor or upward hand produces a spherical test, a suspended or downward hand produces a pyramidal test, and a horizontal hand produces a hexahedral test. Passing the shape is not enough: the player must also make the associated jump.
Move during damage
After the sixth chest glyph is broken, follow the safe half of the arena, cross to the opposite side when called, and jump on cue. Leave the platform before The Witness slams it; staying for one extra attack is the most common reason a successful damage cycle becomes a wipe.
Build a reliable damage loadout
- Use sustained ranged damage for The Witness’s chest weak point.
- Keep burst damage available for Subjugators.
- Favor movement, survivability, and weapons you can aim while repositioning.
- Reserve a short, dependable burst option for final stand rather than a setup that needs a long stationary window.
Salvation’s Edge loot
The following weapons are established as part of the raid’s loot pool. The 2026 overhaul changed encounter assignments, so the specific encounter listed for a weapon may be provisional until confirmed by the current activity reward preview.

- Warlock: Promised Victory
- Titan: Promised Reunion
Featured and non-featured reward behavior
Featured and non-featured weeks now use different reward rules. The current guide reports changes involving Deepsight weapons, tiered armor, Adept access from Master challenges, and weekly vendor or chest limits. Do not rely on launch-era claims that every drop is once per character or that the raid is always farmable.
Mementos and the 8.2.0 update
Update 8.2.0 removed the no-wipe requirement for memento acquisition. In normal difficulty, a full clear can grant the memento once per week per class; Master difficulty can drop it repeatedly. The same update fixed a Witness-defeat withdrawal issue and improved limb-shader legibility for colorblind modes.
Challenges, Triumphs, and hidden rewards
Weekly encounter challenges
- Scenic Route
- At Capacity
- Balanced Diet
- Varied Geometry
- Coordinated Efforts
Completing all five encounter challenges on Master awards the Turmoil Engine Sparrow.
Static Triumphs
- Touch and Go
- Changing Tactics
- Singular Torment
- Equal Distribution
- Careful Calculation
Chests and the conductor puzzle
Two ordinary hidden chests award the Resonant Cellweave shader when both are opened. The fixed Deepsight conductors are 1, 3, and 5. Conductors 2 and 4 belong to a separate side puzzle whose prerequisite and current reward contents are not verified, so do not treat older walkthrough claims about that puzzle as confirmed.
