To complete the Sanctum of Temperance in Crimson Desert, unlock the site through Elowen’s request, defeat the Antumbra, then recover and install a block and a pillar piece at the central device. The sanctum is in Hernand, south of Unicorn Cliff. Once the device powers up, speak with Elowen or wait for the completion scene.
Unlock the Sanctum and find it
Listen to the Request from Elowen, the Witch of Wisdom. The walkthroughs describe the Witch faction questline as unlocking in Chapter 3; PowerPyx identifies listening to Elowen’s request as the requirement for this sanctum. Head to Hernand, south of Unicorn Cliff. PowerPyx recommends approaching from the north, near the Abyss Nexus.

Clear the Antumbra before repairing the device
Defeat the Antumbra forces around the sanctum before attempting the restoration. PowerPyx describes the liberation indicator dropping from 100% to zero; both walkthroughs treat clearing the enemies as a prerequisite to repairing the central device.

Recover and install the block
The first missing component is a block or cube. Use Axiom Force to carry it back to the central device. The walkthroughs identify the same repair task but describe its landmarks differently: PowerPyx points to a broken-wall opening near the north entrance, after the position of two larger guards; PC Gamer describes a battery cube down stairs beyond a wall with a pipe.
- Find the block using the landmark that matches the sanctum layout you see.
- Carry it to the central device with Axiom Force.
- Move it into the open slot. PowerPyx describes the opening as being on the east side, while PC Gamer calls it the left-side slot; use the green-leaf alignment cue described by PowerPyx rather than relying on a compass direction.
- Push the aligned block into place with the relevant Force move. PC Gamer calls this Force Palm; PowerPyx specifies Force Current.
Recover and install the pillar piece
The second component is a pillar top or core in a small, vine-covered building beside the device. The walkthroughs agree that the foliage must be burned away before you can retrieve it. They name the ability differently: PC Gamer calls it Blinding Flash, while PowerPyx calls it Focused Light. Check the ability label in your game’s language and version.

- Find the small building beside the central device and burn away the foliage covering its opening.
- Take the pillar piece inside and carry it back with Axiom Force.
- Place it over the incomplete pillar. PowerPyx locates that pillar at the northeast corner; PC Gamer describes it as the left pillar. Align the piece until the green-leaf cue appears.
- Climb onto the pillar and use a jumping Force Palm to seat the piece.
Confirm the puzzle is complete
Wait for the central device to power up. PowerPyx says to stand in the square of light to speak with Elowen; PC Gamer says Elowen appears shortly afterward and a cutscene plays. Follow the interaction prompt or let the scene play to finish the sanctum.

The walkthroughs agree on the core sequence—clear the Antumbra, retrieve a block and a pillar component, and install both with Force-based abilities—but differ on orientation labels and the name of the foliage-burning ability. The available guides do not establish whether these differences come from localization, control context, or an error. Treat the green-leaf alignment effect as the practical placement cue, and use the ability label shown in your own game.
