So the most accurate wording is: Tulaytullah’s Remembrance is Wanderer’s signature weapon in gameplay, while Scaramouche’s canonical personal ownership of it is unconfirmed.

Why sources use both “Scaramouche” and “Wanderer”
Scaramouche is the name associated with the character earlier in his story. After his memories changed, he became the Wanderer. HoYoWiki’s character entry treats those names as stages in the same character’s history, which is why weapon guides, quest discussions, and character pages may switch between them.
This naming difference does not indicate two separate playable characters for the purpose of the weapon question. A page that calls Tulaytullah’s Remembrance “Wanderer’s signature weapon” is addressing the same character players may know as Scaramouche, but at a different point in his identity.
Using “Scaramouche’s weapon” is therefore understandable in casual discussion. “Wanderer’s signature weapon” is more precise when describing the playable character and the weapon’s intended gameplay pairing.

The description gives the weapon a distinct visual and thematic identity, but it does not say that Scaramouche forged it, received it from another character, or used it before becoming the Wanderer. The item’s story flavor and its gameplay role should be read separately.

The passive sequence
- Use an Elemental Skill. This begins the condition described by the weapon’s effect.
- Land Normal Attacks. The passive then builds its Normal Attack damage component as those attacks connect.
- Continue the Normal Attack string while the effect is active. The weapon is designed to reward sustained Normal Attack use after the skill setup.
The official item entry does not establish a stack count, duration, percentage value, or a universal ranking against every other Catalyst. Those details should be taken from the current in-game weapon panel if you need exact numbers for a build.
Is the weapon actually Scaramouche’s in the story?
That specific claim is not established. The available official material supports three narrower points:
- Scaramouche later becomes the Wanderer after his memories change.
- Tulaytullah’s Remembrance is the five-star Catalyst associated with Wanderer as his signature weapon in gameplay.
- The weapon has a Normal Attack-focused passive that activates around Elemental Skill use and subsequent Normal Attacks.
None of those points proves personal narrative ownership. A signature weapon can be designed to complement a playable character without being an object that the character is shown carrying in a quest, cutscene, or item story.
Accordingly, statements such as “Scaramouche canonically owned Tulaytullah’s Remembrance” go beyond what the official entries establish. The safer distinction is:

This distinction also explains why lore discussions can disagree with build guides without either side necessarily misidentifying the weapon. They are answering different meanings of “his.”
What Version 3.3 tells us about the weapon
HoYoverse’s official Version 3.3 update notice identified Tulaytullah’s Remembrance as an event-exclusive five-star Catalyst and gave it a drop-rate boost in that version’s Epitome Invocation. That notice is useful historical context: it shows when the weapon was formally featured in an event wish and confirms its event-exclusive status at that time.
It does not prove that the weapon is on a banner today. Event-wish availability changes, and a historical notice cannot be used as a present-tense banner schedule. If you are deciding whether to obtain it, open the live game and inspect the current Epitome Invocation rather than relying on the Version 3.3 announcement.

What “event-exclusive” means for a player
An event-exclusive weapon is not presented as a permanently available item in the standard weapon pool described by that historical notice. Its return, timing, and exact banner placement are matters for the live wish schedule. The official sources reviewed here do not establish a current rerun date or current availability.

If your question is practical rather than purely lore-focused, judge the weapon by the way you intend to play Wanderer. The relevant checks are mechanical:
- Normal Attack emphasis: the passive is aimed at Normal Attack damage, so it is most relevant to a build that spends time attacking normally after using an Elemental Skill.
- Attack-speed value: the passive includes a Normal Attack speed increase, making attack cadence part of its appeal.
- Skill-to-attack flow: the effect expects an Elemental Skill followed by successful Normal Attacks. A rotation that rarely performs that sequence will use less of the passive.
- Secondary-stat needs: compare the weapon’s secondary stat with the stats your artifacts and team already provide. The official entries cited here do not supply a full comparative ranking of every Catalyst.
- Acquisition cost: because the weapon was introduced as event-exclusive, obtaining it depends on a relevant weapon banner and the resources you are willing to spend.
There is no official universal statement that every Wanderer account must have this weapon. Its signature status explains the intended pairing; it does not turn the weapon into a mandatory requirement for playing the character.

Common misunderstandings
“Signature weapon” means confirmed lore ownership
Not necessarily. In character-build language, “signature weapon” generally means a weapon whose passive and intended stats align closely with a character’s kit. That gameplay label should not be rewritten as a plot fact unless the story explicitly establishes ownership.

They are not unrelated characters in this context. HoYoWiki explains that Scaramouche becomes the Wanderer after his memories change. The name used in a guide usually reflects the character’s current identity, not a separate weapon user.
Version 3.3 proves the weapon is always available
The Version 3.3 notice records a past event-wish boost. It does not provide a permanent banner guarantee or a current rerun schedule.
The bell’s item description proves Scaramouche carried it
The description establishes the bell’s materials and sound imagery. It does not identify Scaramouche as its owner. Treat flavor text, gameplay association, and narrative possession as separate categories.
Bottom line for lore and gameplay questions
If someone asks, “What is Wanderer’s signature weapon?” answer Tulaytullah’s Remembrance, the five-star Catalyst whose passive supports Normal Attacks after an Elemental Skill. If someone asks, “Did Scaramouche canonically own that bell?” answer that the official entries reviewed do not confirm personal ownership.
