Scroll of Geomancy is a Mage-only, bind-on-pickup consumable in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery. Use it on a Leyline Conflux to summon an Enraged Leywalker; defeating the elemental can yield a Leycryst used in the Mage Displacement Rune quest. A Worldcore Fragment is an alternative activation item.
What Scroll of Geomancy does
The item’s tooltip describes its use as an attempt to attune to a targeted Leyline Conflux. At the Conflux, using it summons an Enraged Leywalker. The item reference lists it as usable by Mages, bind-on-pickup, and stackable to five; it was added in patch 1.15.2 on April 2, 2024. Those item-history details do not establish whether the content is currently available on every server or version. Warcraft Wiki’s item reference
How to get a Scroll of Geomancy
Warcraft Tavern’s Phase 3 guide describes deciphering Mage scrolls with Comprehension Charms as one way to obtain a Scroll of Geomancy. It lists these possible source scrolls:
- PEATCHY ATTAX
- SHOOBEEDOOP
- THAW WORDS
- TOPAZ YORAK
- UPDOG
The guide does not establish a guaranteed result or drop chance for any of these scrolls. It also does not establish a market price or a guaranteed alternative source. Warcraft Tavern’s Scroll of Geomancy guide

How to use it for the Displacement Rune
The Mage Displacement Rune process described by the guide calls for four Leycrysts, collected from four different Leyline Confluxes. At each Conflux, use a Scroll of Geomancy or a Worldcore Fragment to summon an Enraged Leywalker, then defeat it for a chance at the Leycryst. The guide does not state that every kill guarantees one. It suggests grouping with other Mages or Warlocks so players may not need to obtain all four activation items individually; that is advice, not a stated requirement. Warcraft Tavern’s rune guide

Scroll of Geomancy or Worldcore Fragment?
Both are listed as ways to activate a Conflux and summon an Enraged Leywalker. The guide describes deciphering Mage scrolls as a route to Scrolls of Geomancy and names Worldcore Fragments as an alternative. The cited sources do not establish which is cheaper, faster, or more likely to obtain, so choose based on the item you have access to rather than an assumed advantage.

What to expect from the summoned enemy
The Enraged Leywalker is listed as a level 47 elite arcane elemental, and its drops include Leycrysts.
