The charity drop’s original 2025 sale has ended, so its announced prices and dates are historical—not a current offer.
Which cards are in Squishful Thinking?
The drop contains four reprints that Commander players may recognize:
- Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer
- Polyraptor
- Academy Manufactor
- Wurmcoil Engine
Wizards described the concept as turning hand-sculpted Play-Doh into Magic cards. The listed art credits are Ben Millar, Jason Loik, and Matthew Cohen. The playful material is the visual treatment; the cards remain Magic cards, not toys or game pieces made of Play-Doh.
What were the editions and original prices?
Wizards announced two editions in the United States: non-foil for $39.99 USD and rainbow foil for $49.99 USD. Those were the drop’s 2025 announced prices, not current resale values. Current stock, seller reliability, card condition, and marketplace prices have not been verified.

- Cracking open a fresh can of Play-Doh is pure magic. We took that feeling, mushed up every color into one big ball, and dropped it straight into Magic.
- We teamed up with Play–Doh for Extra Life 2025 because, like Magic, it’s all about creativity, joy, and most importantly, igniting the spark of imagination. Play-Doh is also the most requested toy for kids in hospitals. Together, we turned hand-sculpted Play-Doh into Magic cards to celebrate play, imagination, and the great work Extra Life makes possible. Best of all, 50% of the original purchase price supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through Extra Life, helping kids and families at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

When did the drop go on sale?
Wizards announced the drop on September 16, 2025. Its announcement listed limited quantities at the MagicCon: Atlanta merch booth from September 26–28 and an online sale window of September 29 through November 9, 2025. A later Wizards support page gives regional store dates that differ from the initial announcement:
| Region | Store sales recorded by Wizards |
|---|---|
| United States | October 6, 2025–January 7, 2026 |
| EU and UK | November 21, 2025–February 22, 2026 |
The support page also lists fulfillment windows extending into 2026. These are past sales and fulfillment dates; they do not establish that the cards are currently available. For a secondary-market purchase, check the listing’s edition, condition, seller, and total price rather than assuming the original price still applies.

- Tune in to legendary independent radio station KEXP and in between songs you’ll often hear a phrase repeated by DJs: “You are not alone.” It’s a simple phrase, but in those moments when you’re feeling down it makes the world feel a little bit brighter and a little less lonely. Every time.
- Inspired by KEXP’s commitment to bringing people together through all kinds of music, the visuals on these cards honor a diverse range of gig poster art styles. For the card choices, we picked five “group-hug” cards that will get everyone at the table smiling together.

How did the Play-Doh art support Extra Life?
Wizards said 50% of the purchase price supported Extra Life and children and families at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Its support page describes the collaboration as supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The official sources cited here do not give a total raised by this specific drop, so no fundraising total can be stated.
Wizards credited the creative idea to the collaboration, writing: “Together, we turned hand-sculpted Play-Doh into Magic cards to celebrate play, imagination, and the great work Extra Life makes possible.”

Was this a print-to-demand Secret Lair?
Yes. Wizards’ product-specific announcement said Squishful Thinking was printed to demand. That detail applies to this drop; it should not be confused with the broader Secret Lair policy. The general Secret Lair FAQ, updated February 24, 2026, says most drops are limited print runs, while some remain print on demand.

For sale is the exclusive secret lair drop: Secret Lair x Marvel's Deadpool (Foil Edition)
- Well look who it is! Come in, come in. Don’t mind the robe. “Uncle Deadpool” is just crashing at Secret Lair for a few days. I’m actually doing a little tour of lairs, hideouts, sanctums, and strongholds and leaving ratings online. It’s been a blast.
- But I wasn’t expecting guests. Just, uh, kick back, relax, and . . . don’t sit on my red suit! It’s drying out. But check this out—Secret Lair made me my own Deadpool cards! Isn’t that nice? So pretty. This one even says, “trading card,” so you don’t forget. Anyway, make yourself comfortable and if you need anything, I’ll be in the kitchen making chimichangas.
