Spoilers for Secret Level season 1, episode 5. The available plot summary describes Titus defeating a Chaos sorcerer and calling an orbital strike on a relic, then ending with Titus and the wounded Metaurus facing an approaching horde. The closing stand is defiant, but their fate—and the strike’s result—remain unresolved.
What happens at the end of Secret Level episode 5?
The episode is titled “Warhammer 40,000: And They Shall Know No Fear.” A secondary plot summary describes Titus and his squad pursuing a relic, with veteran Metaurus recalling that he recruited Titus as a boy who already knew no fear. The squad encounters Chaos forces and a psyker carried in a sarcophagus. A Chaos sorcerer then attacks the Space Marines through visions of their fears: Metaurus sees Titus corrupted before Metaurus falls.
Titus resists the psychic assault, kills the sorcerer, and calls the ship for an orbital strike on the relic. As cultists approach, the wounded Metaurus seems resigned to die. Titus turns to face the advancing horde instead. The summary describes this as the final image; it does not establish what happens after the stand or whether the strike succeeds.
What does Titus see in the vision?
In the available plot summary, the sorcerer’s psychic attack shows Metaurus an image of Titus corrupted. The summary does not give further verified details about the vision, so it is safer not to treat it as a literal glimpse of Titus’s future. It functions as an attack on the squad’s fears, not evidence that Titus actually falls to Chaos.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What does the ending mean?
The final turn is a choice to keep fighting, not proof that Titus is untouched by fear or loss. Metaurus appears to have accepted death; Titus answers by facing the threat. That contrast makes “knows no fear” read as resolve under pressure rather than invulnerability. The ending leaves the outcome open: it does not show Titus and Metaurus surviving, dying, or completing the mission.
How is the episode connected to Warhammer 40,000?
Games Workshop identifies the short as a story in the Warhammer 40,000 setting, the 41st Millennium, and says it stars Lieutenant Titus of the Ultramarines, leading a squad of Bladeguard Veterans. Those are the clearest franchise links; the sources here do not establish a precise place for the episode in the wider game timeline.
