It replaces the ranged, support-focused Reverent identity with a mace, cursed mana, close-range pressure and debuffs. Rune Drain converts damage into sustain, Rune Corruption closes distance while reducing healing received, and Rune Stun adds a leap and stun. The result can stay in a fight far longer than a conventional support Seer, but it is not a guaranteed player-deletion machine: the build depends on reaching the target, maintaining contact during Zeal and timing its control tools.
What the Blasphemer oath changes
Seer has two very different practical identities. Reverent plays like a ranged or support-oriented healer, while Blasphemer commits to melee damage and cursed mana. You equip a mace, build your resource through attacks and rune connections, and use Zeal as the window in which the oath’s defensive and offensive bonuses matter most. The independent build guide describes the oath as a melee damage-and-debuff setup rather than a replacement class; your underlying Seer remains the same character. See the current overview at Mistfall Hunter Game’s Blasphemer build guide.

The trade is straightforward: you gain contact damage, anti-healing and self-sustain, but you become vulnerable when you cannot stay on a target or when Zeal is unavailable. A missed leap, dash or stun can leave you standing outside attack range with fewer defensive options than a support build. Treat every recommendation below as a practical framework, not a promise of a particular win rate; the available guides provide kit descriptions and build advice, not measured performance data.

How the resource loop works
Build cursed mana through contact
The guides describe cursed mana as accumulating through basic attacks, rune hits and a connecting gap-closer. Once the resource is full, basic attacks unlock an enhanced heavy strike. That makes your opening sequence important: a dash that misses does more than fail to deal damage; it also delays the powered portion of your attack cycle. Use safe basic attacks and reliable rune hits to build toward the enhanced strike instead of throwing every movement tool at maximum range.

Zeal is the commitment state
Zeal is where the build’s pieces overlap. Ferocity grants Super Armor and resistances during Zeal, Relentless can extend its duration after mace damage, and Divine Power improves cursed-mana generation while attacking in that state. Because those effects are tied to active contact, Zeal has the most value when you can actually reach the opponent and continue hitting. One guide recommends activating it before committing so the approach is harder to interrupt; another recommends first solving distance with Stun, Shapeshift or Impact Sigil, then spending Zeal once contact is likely. The useful synthesis is to establish a reliable approach and target first, then activate Zeal when the commitment can produce hits. There is no universal button-order rule for every matchup.
Why the build can outlast a target
Blasphemer is not self-healing passively. Its sustain comes from Rune Drain’s damage-based healing and from continuing to connect attacks. If you are kiting, stunned, or forced out of range, the healing engine stops. That is why defensive timing and positioning are as important as damage statistics.
Core runes and what each one does
Rune Drain: your sustain button
Rune Drain attacks with thorns and heals according to damage dealt. The beginner setup also says hits on enemy players restore additional health, while the broader guide highlights Drain for PvE sustain and prolonged encounters. Cast it when the target is in range and you can follow with mace attacks; using it into empty space gives up both damage and the healing that makes the oath durable. The setup description includes an attack-reduction component, so check the current tooltip before assuming the exact debuff or value remains unchanged. Details are listed in the beginner Blasphemer setup.
Rune Corruption: gap close plus anti-heal
Corruption dashes forward and attacks, dealing magic damage while reducing the healing the victim receives for a period. It is the build’s primary PvP gap-closer and anti-heal tool. Use it to start pressure on a retreating opponent, or hold it until an enemy is about to recover so the healing reduction affects the recovery window. Corruption is not a complete kill button by itself; its value comes from arriving in range and then connecting Drain, Stun or mace attacks while the target’s healing is impaired.
Rune Stun: a high-value, high-commitment engage
Stun makes Seer leap, deal damage and inflict a stun. It gives you another way to cross distance and creates the control window needed to land Drain or begin Zeal attacks. The independent guide calls landing it a skill check. Aim for predictable movement, use cover to shorten the approach, and avoid spending it blindly on a target who still has an easy escape. A failed leap can leave you without the control needed to stay in melee.
Shapeshift: movement for solo play
Shapeshift transforms Seer for increased movement speed, with Shapebreak available as a major action. The beginner and community guides recommend it primarily for solo engagement or escape. Decide before entering a fight whether it is your entry tool or your emergency exit; using it for a small speed boost at the start can remove your safest way out when a second enemy arrives.
Thorn Sigil: hold space rather than chase it
Thorn Sigil creates an area that briefly immobilizes enemies before damaging and slowing them. Its listed talents add resistances while you are inside and reduce enemy dodge distance. In a trio, place it on a doorway, objective or other contested location so opponents must either fight in the area or give up ground. It is less about instantly catching a fleeing player than shaping where the next exchange occurs.

Impact Sigil: pull a retreating target into pressure
The independent guide recommends Impact Sigil as a pull that brings a retreating enemy toward allied pressure, especially in trio play. It can replace some of the approach work that Shapeshift performs in solo play, but its best use is coordinated: pull only when allies are close enough to capitalize and when the target cannot immediately turn the displacement against you.
Talents in the published beginner setup
The beginner loadout lists eight talent selections. Preserve the levels as a starting point rather than treating them as interchangeable caps; the page says its data was validated against game data through the 2026-08-06 update, and current client values can change.
| Talent selection | Listed level | Practical purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Ferocity | Lv 2 | Provides Super Armor and resistances during Zeal. |
| Relentless | Lv 2 | Can extend Zeal after mace damage. |
| Divine Power | Lv 2 | Improves cursed-mana generation while attacking during Zeal. |
| Keen Edge | Lv 3 | Shapeshift talent in the published setup. |
| Potency | Lv 3 | Shapeshift talent in the published setup. |
| Pain Relief | Lv 5 | Thorn Sigil talent that supports resistance while inside the area. |
| Binding | Lv 5 | Thorn Sigil talent associated with its control package. |
| Battle-fed | Lv 9 | Listed as part of the beginner Blasphemer setup. |
The source does not establish that these levels are a universal best-in-slot progression. If your client presents different costs, caps or effects, follow the current in-game tooltip rather than forcing an old point allocation.
Affix priorities without inventing slot rules
The beginner page lists five priorities: Stoic, Blessing, Fervor, Valor and Strife. It does not assign them to equipment slots or publish exact variable values, so a responsible build cannot turn that list into fabricated per-slot thresholds.
- Stoic: defensive resistance and, at a stated level, a low-health restoration effect.
- Blessing: extends buffs, helping the build get more value from temporary states.
- Fervor: stacks damage after hits, rewarding sustained contact.
- Valor: raises attack and can add defense penetration.
- Strife: boosts melee weapon damage.
Another guide broadly emphasizes Valor and Stoic, with Blessing, Tenacious, Seamless and Elusive as alternatives depending on investment and build direction. Read those as recommendations, not tested universal rankings. The shared lesson is that Blasphemer needs enough durability to remain in Zeal range; stacking only offense magnifies the punishment for a missed engage.
Solo and trio versions are not the same build
Mode changes what your fifth ability must accomplish. The following split reflects the guides’ recommendations rather than an independent balance test.
| Decision axis | Solo | Trio |
|---|---|---|
| Mobility choice | Keep Shapeshift for engage or escape. | Replace Shapeshift with Thorns for area control. |
| Positioning | Approach from cover and decide whether Shapeshift is entry or emergency exit. | Stay connected to the frontline and place Thorns where opponents must contest. |
| Target control | Use Corruption and Stun to close distance and deny healing. | Use Impact Sigil to pull a target toward allies; use Thorns to limit movement. |
| Main risk | Spending mobility early can leave no escape. | Diving alone can separate you from teammates. |
The community battle-cleric guide provides the mode-specific comparison at Mistfall-Hunter.org. In either mode, your first question should be whether allies or terrain will help you maintain contact after the initial dash.

A practical engagement sequence
- Choose the target and route. Approach from cover in solo play, or stay alongside the frontline in a trio. Do not begin by spending every movement tool.
- Create a reliable connection. Use Corruption, Stun, Shapeshift or Impact Sigil according to the mode and target movement. A missed gap-closer is one of the build’s clearest failure points.
- Activate Zeal when contact is realistic. If the target is already controlled, Zeal immediately converts that control into Super Armor, resistances and faster cursed-mana generation. If you must cross open ground first, solve the distance problem before spending the state.
- Land Rune Drain and mace hits. Drain’s healing scales with damage dealt, and basic attacks build cursed mana. Keep striking rather than weaving away unnecessarily.
- Apply Corruption’s healing reduction during recovery. Use it when the opponent tries to heal or when your team can exploit the reduced healing. Follow with Stun or a powered heavy strike rather than treating the anti-heal as the finisher.
- Use the enhanced heavy strike when cursed mana is full. The guides describe this as an upgraded basic-attack payoff. Confirm the current trigger and animation in your client before committing it into an invulnerability or dodge.
- Exit before the sustain engine fails. If Zeal ends, Drain is unavailable or the target escapes your reach, stop chasing through enemy territory. Solo players can reserve Shapeshift for this moment; trio players should retreat toward allies and their Thorns area.
Common failure points and fixes
“I used Zeal and still got nothing.”
Zeal’s bonuses matter only if you convert the duration into contact and mace damage. Activate it after a dependable approach setup, not at maximum range with no path to the target. The guides disagree on whether Zeal should precede the approach, but both agree that successful hits determine its value.
“Rune Stun keeps missing.”
Stun is a leap, not a guaranteed lock-on. Use it against predictable movement or after another tool has limited the target’s options. Save it for the moment that lets you begin Drain and Zeal attacks; repeatedly missing it leaves the build without its safest control window.
“I heal, then immediately lose the fight.”
Drain heals from damage dealt, so a disengaged or crowd-controlled Seer receives little benefit. Build enough Stoic or other defensive support to survive the first exchange, and do not confuse one successful Drain with permanent regeneration. Re-enter only when you can keep landing attacks.
“A permanent Super Armor opponent will not move.”
The independent guide identifies Hammer Mercenary as a difficult matchup because permanent Super Armor can blunt the control plan. Treat that as a guide assessment, not a published balance statistic. Against such targets, rely less on a single Stun connection, coordinate Impact Sigil or Thorns with teammates, and avoid extending a solo chase after your first control attempt fails.
“I am winning the engage but losing to the second player.”
That is the cost of spending solo mobility as an opener. In a trio, remain connected to allies and use area control instead of diving beyond support range. In solo, decide before the fight whether Shapeshift is your entry or your exit and preserve the other tools for the point at which the opponent’s backup appears.
What the available evidence does—and does not—prove
The guides consistently support the identity of Blasphemer as a mace-based melee Seer with cursed mana, damage-based healing, an anti-heal dash and leap stun. They do not provide measured damage comparisons, win rates, population statistics or proof that the build reliably defeats enemy players. “Deleting” is therefore a description of the build’s burst potential and close-range fantasy, not an empirical result.
The unofficial setup attributes its loadout to Bellring Games’ official Discord and notes validation against game data as of 2026-08-06. That is a validation date, not a promise that every tooltip is current. The independent guide was last updated 2026-10-01, and the community review is dated 2026-08-10. Because updates can alter costs, durations and interactions, verify each rune, talent and affix in the current client before treating the listed levels as definitive.
Recommended starting checklist
- Equip the Blasphemer oath and mace rather than the Reverent support identity.
- Start with Rune Drain, Rune Corruption and Rune Stun as the core contact package.
- Choose Shapeshift for solo mobility, or the Thorns-oriented setup for trio area control.
- Use Ferocity, Relentless and Divine Power as the Zeal-centered talent core shown in the beginner setup.
- Prioritize survivability and sustained melee contact alongside Valor and Strife; do not assume an unlisted slot or numeric threshold.
- Practice the approach in which you can land a rune, activate Zeal and immediately continue attacking.
- Check the live tooltips after updates, especially for Zeal, Drain healing, Corruption’s healing reduction and the enhanced heavy strike.
Verdict
Seer is not confined to the back line. Blasphemer turns the class into a contact-dependent battle cleric: Drain pays you for landing damage, Corruption punishes healing, Stun creates the opening, and Zeal supplies the brief window of resilience needed to keep swinging. The oath is strongest when you plan the approach, preserve an escape and fight where your team or terrain helps you stay connected. It is weakest when you miss the gap closer, spend Zeal out of range or dive without a way back. Build for that reality and the “just a healer” label stops describing what Seer can do in melee.
