Official listings show it on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2; its flashing visuals and high-pressure pace may make it a poor fit for some players.
What you do in Sektori
Sektori is built around the twin-stick shooter loop: move through an arena, aim and fire, avoid incoming threats, and choose upgrades that shape your build. Steam describes a five-world campaign with changing levels, varied enemies, and evolving bosses, alongside alternate ships and configurable upgrade decks. Runs combine designed waves, levels, and bosses with randomization, a structure the developer says is intended to reward skill rather than memorization.
In PC Gamer’s hands-on account, reviewer Rick Lane describes piloting an arrow-shaped ship through a shifting arena. Enemies have distinct behaviors: some roll around, others home in on the player, and some advance when outside the player’s view. Lane also reports that the ship can attack by shooting or striking enemies to trigger a shockwave. These are observations from Lane’s early-copy play, not a claim of independent testing here.
How the runs and modes differ
The campaign is the central structured option, but it is not the only way to play. Steam lists six alternate modes, including Classic, Gates, and Assault, plus challenges and medals. Alternate ships and upgrade decks give players ways to vary their approach; the changing battlefields and randomized elements mean the game is not presented as a fixed sequence to memorize.

The official description calls the game’s approach “Simple, pure gameplay. Quick runs. Lots of challenge and replayability.” That combination points toward repeat attempts and incremental mastery rather than a long, story-led campaign. Steam lists five campaign worlds, but does not provide a completion-time estimate.
Is Sektori hard?
Yes, expect a substantial challenge. Steam lists three difficulty modes, including a “Revolution” campaign designated for maximum challenge. Rick Lane characterized the action as demanding after reporting 40 hours with an early copy in his November 23, 2025 PC Gamer article; that number is his play time, not a completion-time estimate.

The challenge comes with a lot to track at once: navigating a changing arena, responding to enemies with different movement patterns, and making upgrade choices while the action continues. Players who enjoy learning through repeated runs and adapting builds are the clearest match. Those looking for a relaxed shooter or a predictable, low-pressure experience may find the pace abrasive.
Visual intensity and accessibility
The saturated colors and techno-led presentation are part of the game’s identity. Lane describes the visual display escalating into an intense color show alongside rave-like music. Steam carries this warning: “This game contains flashing lights that may make it unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions. Player discretion is advised.” Players with photosensitivity should take that warning seriously and consult the relevant store page before deciding whether to play.

Some platform-specific options may help with controls or difficulty, but the available listings do not establish feature parity across every version. PlayStation’s store page says players can choose an alternative preset to reduce difficulty and review controls at any time. It also documents preset control remapping and options to play without button holds, motion controls, touch controls, controller vibration, or adaptive trigger effects. PlayStation says pausing is available during offline play.

A gamepad is optional rather than a stated requirement: Steam marks the game with its Controller tag, and twin-stick controls suit a gamepad layout. Steam also lists the official soundtrack as a separate digital item.

How has Sektori been received?
Steam’s product page displayed 96% positive from 911 total user reviews and 95% positive from 21 recent reviews when accessed on October 8, 2026. These are changing storefront snapshots, not fixed scores.
Those figures are separate from numbers PC Gamer attributed to developer Kimmo Lahtinen in a November 29, 2025 report: at that time, Lahtinen cited more than 100 Steam reviews with 97% positive and a Metacritic score of roughly 90. They reflect his statement in 2025, not the later Steam snapshot.
