34-inch WQHD: a wider field of view
The Acer X34, Alienware AW3423DWF and Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 were listed as WQHD ultrawides. HotHardware describes this format as 3440×1440 at 21:9. The non-OLED alternative in the roundup
HotHardware also mentioned an INNOCN 49-inch VA LCD, which it explicitly identified as not OLED. The article listed it at $594 after an $80 Amazon coupon and described its resolution as 5120×1440, refresh rate as 120 Hz and HDR rating as HDR400—not True Black. It also reported a claimed out-of-box DeltaE under 2. These are the article’s 2024 details, not a current offer or independent measurement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Burn-in: a real consideration, not a lifespan guarantee
OLED owners should consider how much time a display will spend showing fixed elements such as game HUDs. HotHardware noted that static content and high brightness could contribute to burn-in, and recommended lowering brightness during extended periods with static content. Its additional assertion that tests took thousands of hours to burn in a current-generation OLED did not identify a test lab, model, protocol or publication date. It should not be treated as a general lifespan guarantee.
