What kind of game is Severed Steel?
Steam describes Severed Steel as a single-player FPS starring a one-armed protagonist. Its defining features are a stunt-focused movement system, slow motion and destructible voxel environments. The store page presents these elements as central to its fast-paced combat, rather than framing the game around conventional cover shooting. What modes and replay options are included?
Six-chapter campaign and New Game+
The campaign is organized into six chapters. After completing it, players can start New Game+, which changes the campaign for another run.
Firefight
Firefight is an arcade score-and-time mode with 42 levels, sub-challenges and more than 20 unlockable gameplay mutators.

- Play as Steel, a nimble, one-armed sharpshooter on a mission. There is no reloading – pick your shots well and be ready to pry a loaded weapon from your enemies' cold dead hands.

Rogue Steel
Rogue Steel offers a short, randomly generated 10-level campaign, with perks and skins to unlock. Official Steam Community announcements mention an update enabling downloaded Workshop levels to appear in Rogue Steel, as well as a custom-soundtrack update; these notices show ongoing community and update activity, but do not constitute a full patch history. Level editor and Workshop
The game includes a beta level editor and Steam Workshop sharing, so players can create and share levels. Steam also lists achievements, Cloud saves and leaderboards.

Steam availability, language and reviews
The Steam listing provides a downloadable demo. It lists English full audio and subtitles, with subtitle and interface localization in several additional languages. The available evidence here does not establish whether the game is currently sold on consoles or other PC storefronts.
Steam’s listing showed 95% positive from 4,727 English user reviews in a snapshot surfaced on October 8, 2026. Review totals and sentiment can change, and that aggregate is a platform snapshot rather than a permanent measure of quality. Who is Severed Steel for?
Its store-page features make it a plausible fit for players looking for movement-led combat, slow-motion action and destructible environments, with several modes beyond the campaign. The editor and Workshop add a user-created-level option. Players who mainly want conventional cover-based shooting may find the emphasis on stunts and speed less appealing. The Steam demo offers a way to assess the feel before purchasing.
