Stellar Blade director Hyung-Tae Kim apologized to the PlayStation community on June 10, 2025, after a GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE costume code was tied to Stellar Blade Complete Edition. Kim said the costume was also obtainable through in-game purchases in NIKKE, and that Shift Up would explore possible solutions. His message did not announce a completed remedy or extend the code to every Stellar Blade owner.
What was the Stellar Blade and NIKKE costume issue?
The dispute centered on a bonus code for a GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE costume included with Stellar Blade Complete Edition. Some PlayStation players were disappointed with how the cross-game reward was offered. In his June 10, 2025 message, Stellar Blade director Hyung-Tae Kim acknowledged that disappointment and apologized to the PlayStation community.
Kim described the difficulty of offering rewards he considered equal in value between a mobile game and a console game handled by different teams and business entities. He wrote: “To be completely honest, I fell short in my ability and judgment. I sincerely apologize for the disappointment this has caused to the PS community.” The statement was reproduced in a community post and covered by Noisy Pixel; neither is a Shift Up-hosted press release.
Do PS5 players get the NIKKE costume code with Stellar Blade?
Kim said the code came with the purchase of Stellar Blade Complete Edition. His statement does not say that all owners of other Stellar Blade editions, or all existing Stellar Blade players, would receive the code.

He also said the costume could be unlocked through in-game purchases in NIKKE. That is a separate route in a different game, not a promise that the Complete Edition code would be distributed to all PlayStation players. The statement does not establish current prices or availability for either route.

Kim said Shift Up would sincerely explore possible solutions. He did not specify what a solution would be, announce a distribution plan, or confirm that any remedy had been delivered.
