Project Eve became Stellar Blade; GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE is a separate Shift Up game. The two titles did not merge, and NIKKE is not a later name for Project Eve.
What happened to Project Eve?
Shift Up Director Kim Hyung Tae said Project Eve was announced in 2019. In a PlayStation Blog post dated September 14, 2022, he revealed that the game’s official name was Stellar Blade. He described the post as unveiling the new name and a trailer introducing characters and their roles in the story. Read the announcement on PlayStation Blog.
Shift Up now describes Stellar Blade as an action-adventure RPG about Eve, the last survivor of a special unit sent to Earth to fight the Naytibas, and Adam, who helps her. The company lists its launch date as April 26, 2024, with PlayStation 5 and PC as platforms. Shift Up’s official games page and its 1Q26 investor presentation provide those details.
What is NIKKE, and how is it related?
GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE is a distinct game, not a renamed version of Project Eve or Stellar Blade. Shift Up describes it as a shooter RPG in which players lead humanoid weapons called Nikkes against the Raptures. The company lists its launch date as November 4, 2022, and its platforms as iOS, Android, and PC.

A 2020 Japanese industry report records a NIKKE gameplay video released on December 4, 2020. Those records document milestones for each game separately; they do not establish an exact date or venue for a joint announcement of Project Eve and NIKKE with first trailers. The better-supported history is that Project Eve was announced in 2019, NIKKE had a gameplay video reported in 2020, and Project Eve took the Stellar Blade name in 2022.
