Give GenIVIV to Moxxi if you prefer the option to erase her; choose the sound-system option if you want her installed at the bar. The available guides indicate the choice does not change the broader story or key events, and either option completes the Potty Mouth side mission.
What does the GenIVIV choice do?
Near the end of the Potty Mouth side mission, you take GenIVIV’s core to Moxxi’s bar and choose between installing her in the sound system or giving her to Moxxi to erase her “forever (probably).” The walkthrough then sends you to speak with Claptrap outside to finish the mission. PowerPyx’s Potty Mouth walkthrough lists both options and the follow-up.

Does either option affect the story?
WTYE / WTAY’s choice guide reports that the decision does not change the broader story, characters, or key events. That is a guide’s account, not a developer confirmation or proof that the game has no hidden flags.
Which option should you choose?
- Give GenIVIV to Moxxi: Choose this if you prefer the option’s stated intent of having her erased.
- Install GenIVIV in the sound system: Choose this if you want her at the bar.
The walkthrough indicates both choices lead to mission completion. The available sources do not establish whether rewards are identical, whether the choice changes later dialogue elsewhere, or whether you can reverse it after turning in the mission.
