What happens to Lifeinvader stock after “Friend Request”?
In “Friend Request,” Michael’s actions lead to the death of Lifeinvader CEO Jay Norris. The mission-specific GTA Wiki mission reference and its Lifeinvader entry report that the stock falls and does not return to its former level during Story Mode.

That is a game-specific reference claim, not a documented guarantee from Rockstar or a platform-by-platform test. It supports a practical decision—do not count on a recovery—but not a claim about every minor price fluctuation or every possible version and market state.
Should you buy after killing Jay Norris?
No, not as a recovery investment. If “Friend Request” is already complete, the available mission-specific guidance gives no reason to expect Lifeinvader to climb back to its pre-mission level. A small movement in the price would not, by itself, show that a scripted rebound is underway.

If you already own shares, you can keep them for role-play or to observe the market, but do so without assuming they will recover. If the mission is still ahead, buying Lifeinvader specifically to profit from a post-mission bounce is not supported by the available evidence.
Why do some guides say Lifeinvader rises?
Some online advice claims Norris’s death makes Lifeinvader surge, but that appears to confuse “Friend Request” with other scripted stock opportunities associated with Lester’s assassination missions. The mission-specific references for “Friend Request” describe a decline that remains in place, not a later Lifeinvader rebound. Do not transfer advice about a different mission to this stock event.

How Story Mode stock advice differs from GTA Online
This question concerns the stock market in GTA V Story Mode. The current Vandal stock-market guide, updated 2 September 2026, discusses Story Mode exchanges: LCN and BAWSAQ. It notes that BAWSAQ depends on Rockstar’s online services. GTA Online itself does not offer stock trading, so Story Mode stock instructions do not apply there.

Other Lester assassination opportunities are separate from Lifeinvader’s response to “Friend Request.” Vandal’s guide recommends making a manual save before a mission, investing separately with Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, and checking each character’s own portfolio before deciding when to sell. Returns can vary with version and market state, so a fixed percentage should not be treated as guaranteed. These general techniques do not establish a Lifeinvader rebound.
