In the Silent Hill 2 remake, find the handgun in a red shopping cart in Apartment 217 on the second floor of Wood Side Apartments. In the 2001 original, it is in the shopping cart in Room 301 on the west third floor. The route depends on which version you are playing.
Handgun location in the 2024 remake
- Get the 2F Hallway Key so you can access the remaining second-floor area.
- Enter Apartment 213 and squeeze through the opening in its wall into the next hallway.
- Go to Apartment 217. The handgun is in the red shopping cart in the room.
The route through Apartment 213 and the handgun’s location in Apartment 217 are also described in Push Square’s handgun guide. If you are collecting ammunition too, Apartment 217 has handgun ammo near the TV, in a closet, and in a kitchen drawer, according to the remake Wood Side Apartments walkthrough.
