Yes. Konami’s 2024 remake of SILENT HILL 2 became available on Xbox Series X|S on November 21, 2025. That was one day after Xbox’s November Partner Preview, but the official recap does not list the game, so the timing does not confirm that it appeared in the showcase or that the release date was a deliberate hint.
What the original report was about
The story concerned the remake of the 2001 psychological horror game—not a new sequel. Konami announced the remake in May 2024 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, with a release date of October 8, 2024. Konami’s announcement identifies the game and its initial platforms.

What the November showcase connection actually shows
Xbox announced its Partner Preview on November 17, 2025, scheduling it for November 20 at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern and 6 p.m. UK time. Xbox described the broadcast as a showcase for partner games and announcements. In the announcement, Xbox Wire Editor Danielle Partis wrote: “We’re excited to reveal that the next Xbox Partner Preview – our broadcast that shines a light on upcoming games from our talented third-party partners – is coming this Thursday, November 20.” Read the Xbox announcement.
The game’s Xbox release followed on November 21, creating a one-day gap that helps explain the speculation in the original headline. But Xbox’s official Partner Preview recap does not list SILENT HILL 2. The timing is not evidence that the game was shown or that Xbox signaled its release during the broadcast.
