Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteSilent Hill f has several separate PC mods for players who want different changes: an Engine.ini tweak that its author says enables hardware-level Lumen ray tracing, a ReShade add-on with cheats and camera controls, and ShaderToggler files for hiding the HUD, effects, or fog. They are separate downloads by different authors—not one all-in-one mod—and their pages do not establish compatibility with the latest game build or independent performance results.
What the Silent Hill f mods change
| Mod | What its page describes | Installation or controls |

The listings document their authors’ descriptions and setup, not independent tests. No measured performance figures or confirmation of current-game-build compatibility are provided.

Ray tracing: an Engine.ini configuration change
Instanity’s Enable Ray Tracing – Hardware Level Lumen is a version 1.0 listing uploaded and updated September 23, 2025. Its description says it enables hardware-level Lumen ray tracing and “drastically improves Reflections quality.” That is the creator’s claim, not an independently measured result; the page does not quantify image-quality changes or performance impact.
The page’s instructions are to extract Engine.ini into the game’s local configuration directory and mark the file read-only. A read-only configuration file can prevent the game from writing changes to it, so keep a backup of the original and be prepared to restore it if you need to undo the edit or change configuration settings.

Cheats and camera options: K4sh’s ReShade add-on
K4sh’s Silent Hill f – FOV – HUD – Effects Fix and Cheats is a separate ReShade add-on, listed as version 1.0.6 and updated February 22, 2026. The page describes options for field of view, HUD/UI scaling, camera distance, effects, cutscenes, and developer-console access. It also lists time dilation, stealth mode, and god mode cheats.
ReShade with add-on support is required. The page text identifies ReShade 6.7.2 as the latest compatible version when that text was written; that version-specific note may be out of date, so check the mod page before installing rather than assuming the same version remains compatible.

The author warns that cheats can disrupt events, game behavior, or progression. Avoid relying on them in a run you want to preserve, and keep a separate save before experimenting.
Removing the HUD, effects, or fog
Toggle the HUD and effects
Gametism’s No-HUD-No-Effects – Toggle Fog – Swing Trails and MORE is a separate ShaderToggler-based mod. Its version 1.4 listing was updated August 12, 2026 and describes toggleable HUD and effects, along with changes such as mouse hotkeys and improved input handling. Check the mod’s page for its current setup and key assignments.

Remove or reduce fog
Fellow_Demo’s No Fog is another separate download. Its instructions require ReShade with Addon Support and the ShaderToggler add-on; the author assigns F1 to remove fog and F2 to reduce it. This is a different file from Gametism’s HUD/effects toggles.
Do not confuse HUD scaling with hiding the HUD
K4sh’s add-on lists HUD/UI scaling controls, while Gametism’s file is described as making HUD and effects toggleable. They address related but distinct changes; the pages do not establish that one replaces the other or that the options can be combined without conflicts.

What to check before installing
- Read the individual mod page for its latest installation instructions and version requirements; the listed details may change.
- Back up configuration files and save data before making changes, especially before enabling cheats.
- Install only the dependencies named by the chosen mod. The Lumen listing describes an Engine.ini change; the ReShade and ShaderToggler files have their own separate requirements.
- Do not assume a mod still works after a game update. The cited pages do not confirm compatibility with the current game build.
- Expect uncertainty about performance: the Lumen author’s reflection claim is not accompanied by independent testing or measured frame-rate results.
Launch-window context
A September 24, 2025 report from SameTeem described modding activity around the launch period, including ray tracing, cheats, HUD removal, and fog changes. It described the broad release as September 25, 2025 and named PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. That contemporaneous account is context for when the mods drew attention, not verification of current platform or store availability.
