This guide covers the locations confirmed for the Silver Pines Steam demo, build 23642600—not every item or room in the full retail game. The game is scheduled to release October 8, 2026, and the available location guides were checked against the demo on October 3, so retail locations and mechanics may differ. Follow the route below, but read your own notes and ledger: some codes vary by save.
Demo route at a glance
- Search the Miner Diner and Walker’s car; answer the nearby payphone.
- Find the Underpass Key in the Pharmacy’s back room, then search Rodney’s General Store.
- Open the underpass gate on Motel Road and reach the Crimson Bear Motel.
- Use the guest number in your Motel Guest Ledger at the keypad. Win the Game Room shooting gallery for the Poolside Key.
- Go through the pool and Changing Room to get the Grizzly Suite Keycard; take the Snub .38 Revolver from the suite.
- Call a guest room for the supply-locker combination clue, then retrieve the W-500 Shotgun from the Gift Shop.
- Continue through the Rabbit Hole sequence. Before leaving, pick up the progression key on the basement desk if the expected phone call has not arrived.
- Return for the tunnel encounter, then use the Ferry Office Key and radio to call the ferry and end the demo.
This is a practical route, not a mandatory sequence: the demo allows backtracking. Route and item details are documented for build 23642600 by NPC Tips’ demo walkthrough, its Outskirts item guide and Crimson Bear Motel item guide, with some route details corroborated by GamesRadar+’s walkthrough.
Outskirts keys and exploration finds
Keys and access
- Car Key: In the Miner Diner; use it to open Walker’s car.
- Underpass Key: In the back room of the Pharmacy; it opens the underpass access gate on Motel Road.
- Check-in Key: Outside Rodney’s General Store. The demo item guide says it fits a small desk at the motel.
- Diner Key and Ferry Office Key: Both appear in the demo’s key data, but the item guide does not establish their pickup locations. The Ferry Office Key is needed at the end of the route; do not assume a location from an unverified video or map.
Useful finds by area
- Miner Diner and nearby area: Emergency Frequency, .38 ammunition, the Empty Matchstick Box artifact, and the Newspaper: Framed Article. Search the diner and Walker’s car for the Car Key and camera.
- Rodney’s General Store: One of the demo’s three Hip Bags, the General Store Code note, and Boxcutter.
- Pharmacy: Pharmacist’s Note, Bottle, and Flatleaf Herb. Its back room contains the Underpass Key, another herb and bottle, and Turkey’s Crown.
- Ferry-side and shore areas: Ferry Schedule, .38 ammunition, Soda, and containers.
- Underpass and tunnel: Duct Tape, Switchblade Cufflink, and Corroded Iron Ball artifacts.
Container contents can vary. The Outskirts inventory guide counts 48 map areas and 40 items, documents, and containers in demo build 23642600; those are demo-area figures, not totals for the retail game.
Crimson Bear Motel keys and weapons
Poolside Key to the Grizzly Suite
- At the guest keypad, enter the number shown in your own Motel Guest Ledger. The value differs by save, so a code from a screenshot or recorded run may not work for you.
- In the Game Room, complete the shooting gallery to earn the Poolside Key. The demo guides also place one of the three Hip Bags there.
- Use the Poolside Key to access the pool route. Search the Changing Room beside the pool for the Grizzly Suite Keycard.
- Use the keycard to enter the Grizzly Suite from the Poolside and collect the Snub .38 Revolver.
W-500 Shotgun
The shotgun is locked in a supply locker in the Gift Shop. Call a guest room to receive the combination clue; the available guide does not establish a universal locker code. The Gift Shop also contains 12ga Buckshot, .38 Bullets, a Fusebox Note, and an Electrical Fuse (40A). A Repair Kit and Chipped Ceramic Bear artifact are listed downstairs.

Other motel finds and closed rooms
- Grizzly Suite: .38 ammunition and the Welcome Booklet.
- Game Room: Bottle, buckshot, and Staff Note.
- Bungalo 1: Room 5 Note, Bottle, and Cleaning Solution.
- Bungalo 3: Demo data lists a Star, “Axe Master” cassette, Motel Car Key, .38 ammunition, and Bottle, but the room is shut because its key is in the inaccessible Lighthouse.
- Motel lot: A car trunk is reported unopened in the demo.
The motel inventory guide records 22 map areas and 43 items, documents, and containers for demo build 23642600. These counts describe that build only.
Where the demo’s hidden rooms and paths stop
The Lighthouse is reported closed in the demo. Although game data lists Gasoline and the Room 3 key there, the reported demo route cannot reach them; Room 3 at the motel therefore remains shut. A boarded shack near the diner is also reported inaccessible. Treat these as demo limitations, not proof that the rooms or items are absent from the retail game.
Rank #2
- BOOKENDS SUPPORT: These book ends are crafted from wood with a heavy, sturdy metal base. The rounded edges neither scratch your fingers nor your book
- NON-SLIP FOAM PAD: Each bookend features non-slip foam pads on the bottom that prevent unwanted sliding while also shielding your desk or bookshelf surface from scratches when you move
- SAVE MORE SPACE: The L-shaped design gives you more space for books on your shelf because it can go right at the edge of the shelf. Works well for organizing books, magazines, movies, DVDs, vinyl records, video games, and anything else you want to stand up
- DECORATIVE BOOKENDS: These wooden bookends for shelves feature a variety of pattern options to suit different needs—ideal for library, office, school, and home organization
- THOUGHTFUL GIFTS: Package includes 1 pair of bookends. An ideal gifts for book lovers, teachers, students, librarians, and colleagues on birthdays, holidays, or housewarmings
For backtracking, take the camera from the trunk of Walker’s car. The walkthrough describes photographs being pinned to the map. Photograph rusted padlocks, blocked passages, clues, and objects that need a tool so you can revisit them when equipped. This is more dependable than copying a fixed keypad code from someone else’s run when the clue is save-specific.
Tools, padlocks, and combat preparation
- Boxcutter: Found after the dead-dog encounter and described as the first melee weapon in the corroborating demo walkthrough. It consumes stamina and loses durability; avoid spending it on rusted padlocks.
- Rusted padlocks: The walkthrough reports that gunfire breaks them. This is a demo mechanic and should be checked against the retail version.
- Wooden barricades: The Outskirts guide reports that Demo Patch 2 enabled the shotgun to break them. Do not assume this behavior is unchanged after launch.
- Before the tunnel: Save if possible, reload firearms, and bring healing. The route guide warns that ammunition is scarce and says the tunnel boss drops a memento. Exact boss identity, phases, attack windows, and minimum resources are not established consistently enough to give reliable tactical instructions.
Rabbit Hole progression and the demo ending
If the expected phone call does not come after the Rabbit Hole concert, return to the basement and collect the key on the desk before leaving. The route guide reports that leaving it behind can interrupt progression to the call and tunnel. Near the motel, a call is also reported to provide a free autosave before the tunnel, though that behavior should be confirmed in the current build.
Rank #3
At the end of the demo route, use the Ferry Office Key to enter the Ferry Office and operate its radio to call the ferry. Starting the ferry ends the demo with “to be continued.”

The official Silver Pines Steam listing describes a game of locked doors, hidden paths, clues, and limited inventory, but the exhaustive item records currently available here cover the demo, not the full retail map. The game is scheduled for October 8, 2026; verify room access, item placement, codes, and patch-dependent mechanics in the retail build. The official Silver Pines website is another source for the game’s release information.
