Sister Splinter is found in upper Shellwood, and defeating her opens the way to Cling Grip, the ability that lets Hornet climb and jump from walls. Keep the fight simple: move away from the hand making each claw attack, strike after the swipe sequence, and use Silk Spear when roots or minions make the arena hard to navigate.
Where to find Sister Splinter
The fight takes place in upper Shellwood. One route described by a Silksong guide starts at the central Shellwood bench: take the lift up, continue right and then upward, and enter the boss room through a passage to the left. Treat that as a route option rather than the only way there.
Victory opens the route to Cling Grip, which grants wall climbing and wall jumping. If you are trying to progress through Shellwood, the encounter is a required milestone on that path.
A reliable fight plan
Make room when roots and minions appear
Roots and summoned minions can crowd the arena and make it harder to reposition. According to PC Gamer’s guide, Sister Splinter briefly disappears after summoning; use that interval to clear roots and reclaim space before she returns. Silk Spear can hit minions and roots at range, but it consumes silk, so reserve it for moments when the arena is becoming difficult to manage.

Move away from the attacking hand
PC Gamer recommends dodging to the side opposite the hand used for a claw attack. Once clear of the swipe, reposition and look for a counterattack between claw sequences rather than trying to trade hits during the attack.
The community wiki identifies a Triple Swipe and describes the moment immediately afterward as an opening. Use the end of the sequence as your cue to attack, while staying ready to move again; your position can affect how safe a particular opening is.

Use the summon as a brief opportunity
The community wiki describes an opening during Sister Splinter’s summon scream. That can be a chance to attack, but weigh it against the arena hazards: if roots or minions are closing off your movement, prioritize clearing space with Silk Spear instead.
Keep clear when she is stunned
A knockdown is not necessarily a safe moment to run straight into the boss. PC Gamer warns that Sister Splinter’s hurtbox remains active while she is stunned. Leave a little room as you approach and avoid colliding with her while choosing whether to strike.
