The important caveat: that date marked the start of an unfinished, evolving online release, not the arrival of a finished full version. EA warns players to expect bugs and issues, and the developers have not set a fixed date for leaving Early Access.

Yes, in the specific sense that skate. launched into Early Access on September 16, 2025. EA and Full Circle announced the date on August 26, 2025, and EA’s current FAQ confirms the Early Access release. What is the issue with the 2025 release?
Early Access is the beginning of development in public, not a promise that the game is complete. EA describes it as the start of the game’s live service and says players should expect bugs and issues. In the FAQ, the development team says, “It means we’re ready to open the doors to San Vansterdam to the world, but there will be bugs and issues.” Content and features may continue to change as development proceeds.
That distinction matters if you are deciding whether to play now: the 2025 date is real, but it should not be read as a confirmed full-release date or a guarantee of a polished, finished experience.

When will the full version arrive?
There is no fixed Early Access exit date in the developer statement currently shown on Steam. The developers say they expect to move toward a “full” release approximately a year after Early Access began, while stressing that they do not know for certain. They also state: “We don’t have a fixed timeline to officially exit Early Access, as the game will evolve, grow, and improve based on player feedback.” Read that as an uncertain expectation, not a scheduled launch date. Steam’s Early Access disclosure contains the developer’s timeline statement.
