EA has not confirmed a precise worldwide unlock time or a time-zone-by-time-zone schedule in those sources. A store listing displayed “Aug 26, 2025 – 4 PM UTC,” but that conflicts with EA’s September 16 launch announcement and is not reliable evidence of the actual release time. Since the game is already live, download it from the storefront for your platform and check that store for current availability in your region.
How to access Skate Early Access
The base game is free to download. You need an EA Account and a persistent internet connection; EA notes that a platform account and/or subscription may also be required, depending on the platform. Confirm local terms in the relevant store.

What PC players need before installing
EA’s PC requirements article, published September 12, 2025, says keyboard and mouse are not supported during Early Access, so you need a controller. What is included in Early Access?
EA describes skate. as a free-to-play, online, massively multiplayer skateboarding sandbox set in San Vansterdam. Its advertised activities and tools include physics-based skating with Flick-It controls, exploring on foot, placing Quick Drop objects to build skateable spots, joining Throwdowns and editing replays.
EA also describes cross-play and cross-progression across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in its Early Access development update. The game is an evolving service, not a finished, bug-free release: EA says players should expect bugs and ongoing changes as Full Circle develops it. The update discussed seasonal events, challenges, new skateable areas, music and brand partners, while listing other features—including new modes, tricks, leaderboards, party voice chat and Replay Editor improvements—as future work. A roadmap mention is not confirmation that a feature has shipped; check the current game and EA announcements for what is live.
