What kind of game is Skate Story?
It is a single-player skateboarding adventure with a fantastical premise, rather than a conventional real-world skating simulator. You play a glass-bodied demon skating through the Underworld on a quest involving the Moon. Eng described the setup as a devil’s contract in his PlayStation Blog article. Music is a prominent part of the game. Devolver credits an original soundtrack by Blood Cultures and additional tracks by John Fio; Eng also discusses the soundtrack’s creation in his PlayStation Blog article. Steam lists a digital bundle called “Skate Story Original Soundtrack – Vol 1 & 2.” The cited sources establish a digital soundtrack option, not a physical soundtrack release.
