The official skate. trailer presents San Vansterdam as an online skateboarding world built around Flick-It controls, physics-based riding and exploring on or off the board. EA said the game entered Early Access on September 16, 2025, as a free-to-play game for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
What the trailer shows
EA’s trailer frames San Vansterdam as a shared skateboarding hangout. Its description highlights improved Flick-It controls, physics-based skateboarding and the ability to explore away from the board. These are the publisher’s descriptions of the game, not an independent assessment of how the controls or physics perform.

When did skate. enter Early Access?
EA and developer Full Circle announced on August 26, 2025 that skate. would launch into Early Access on September 16, 2025. EA’s FAQ confirms that the game entered Early Access on that date: it is a past release, not an upcoming launch.

EA’s release announcement listed these platforms and PC storefronts:
- PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
- Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
- PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the EA app
EA described the game as free to download, with cross-platform play and cross-progression. Its FAQ characterizes it as a free-to-play online skateboarding sandbox. Store availability can change, so check the relevant platform’s current listing for the latest access information.

What Early Access meant
In an August 27, 2025 development update, Full Circle described Early Access as continued development with community feedback helping shape the game. The studio outlined seasonal plans involving challenges, cosmetics, music and events. Those were plans stated at the time, not a guarantee that every item or feature has since been released.
