The latest detailed official guide found for Sky: Children of the Light’s Days of Music covers the 2024 event, which ran November 25–December 8, Pacific time. Official Sky schedule material from September 2026 does not confirm a 2026 return, so check the current in-game event board or Sky announcements for dates and rewards before you travel. In the 2024 event, the guide in Aviary Village or Home took players to music stages across the realms, where they could create and record tunes as Shared Memories.
How do I get to the Days of Music stages?
In the 2024 edition, find the Days of Music guide in Aviary Village or Home and speak with them to travel to that day’s stage. Stages appeared across the realms and offered different prompts. The guide and stage flow are documented in Thatgamecompany’s official Days of Music 2024 announcement.
How do I record a song in Sky?
- At the stage, read its prompt and choose from the instruments available nearby.
- Play a tune that responds to the prompt. The activity was presented as open to players of any musical experience; a real-world instrument or audio accessory was not specified as a requirement.
- Record the performance as a Shared Memory so other players can discover it.
Stages also let players browse other Shared Memories and listen to live performances. The event’s focus was making and sharing music inside Sky.
What was the Jam Station?
In the 2024 announcement, the Jam Station was a placeable in-game prop for composing, experimenting with and playing back songs with up to four parts. Each part began with a default instrument; players could select other instruments from their closet. Instrument selections and patterns autosaved. Placeable instruments, including Duets pianos and the Fledgling Upright Piano, could not be selected as Jam Station instruments.
