Slay the Spire 2 became available on Steam Early Access on March 5, 2026. Mega Crit announced the launch that day, describing the game as the long-awaited sequel to its original roguelike deckbuilder. The date is now past, so the game is no longer awaiting its Early Access release.

Can you play co-op?
Yes. The Steam listing includes single-player and online co-op, and Mega Crit says up to four players can team up. The multiplayer mode includes cards designed for co-op and opportunities for players to create synergies as a team.
What does Early Access mean for the game?
This is an evolving release, not the finished 1.0 version. Mega Crit says it plans to add and balance content during Early Access. Official materials highlight new and returning characters, cards, enemies, allies, environments, events, relics, lore, and expanded moddability. That means players can access the game while its content and balance continue to develop.
