To unlock Sound Breathing in Slayers 2, the detailed route reported by a recent guide calls for a level 25 Slayer, Wall Climb, and travel to Tengai in Iceveil Valley. It lists 4,000 Wen, 10 Demon Horns, and 3 Beast Cores, then six training challenges. Guides disagree about the materials and trainer location, so check Tengai’s current dialogue and map marker before farming or making a long trip.
Reported requirements for Sound Breathing
- Path and level: Be on the Slayer path and reach level 25, according to the detailed Sound Breathing guide.
- Reported materials and currency: The same guide lists 4,000 Wen, 10 Demon Horns, and 3 Beast Cores. Another guide describes the materials differently, so treat these amounts as reported rather than confirmed current costs.
- Route preparation: Wall Climb is reported as relevant preparation for reaching the trainer.
- Trainer: The most detailed Sound-specific route points to Tengai in Iceveil Valley, although published guides do not fully agree on the location.
Before collecting items or setting out, check the trainer’s current dialogue and the map marker in your game. A guide published on September 19, 2026, warns that launch patches have led to conflicting reported costs and recommends checking the live trainer requirements before a lengthy farm. How to follow the reported unlock route
- Reach level 25 as a Slayer and obtain Wall Climb.
- Check the current map marker and travel to the indicated trainer. Tengai in Iceveil Valley is the location given by the detailed Sound guide.
- Read Tengai’s dialogue to confirm the requirements shown in your current game. The detailed guide reports 4,000 Wen, 10 Demon Horns, and 3 Beast Cores, but another guide conflicts on materials.
- Meet the requirements shown by the trainer and begin the Sound training chain.
- Complete the training challenges in sequence. The detailed guide reports five mini-games followed by a fight against the Sound Trainee; it says quest markers lead to each area.
What is uncertain in published guides
The available guides do not establish a single confirmed current materials list or trainer location. One detailed guide gives the itemized costs and Tengai’s Iceveil Valley location; another describes Sound’s materials differently, and location reports vary. The evidence does not show whether those differences come from a game update, an omission, or a guide error.
