When does Sleepytime Village come out?
The planned release date is October 30, 2026, according to the Steam store page and the GOG store page. The listings remain forthcoming as of October 7, 2026, so check the relevant store page for any date change as launch approaches.
GOG displays the date with a timezone-formatted timestamp, while Steam shows a calendar date without an hour in the page excerpt. Neither listing establishes a universal unlock time or that every region will gain access simultaneously.
Is Sleepytime Village coming to Steam?
Yes. Steam lists Sleepytime Village for October 30, 2026, as a single-player game. Its store listing names Lightfoot Bros Games as developer and Dionous Games as publisher, and lists English for the interface, full audio, and subtitles.

Yes. GOG also lists an October 30, 2026 release date and identifies Lightfoot Bros Games as developer and Dionous Games as publisher. The GOG page lists Windows, Linux, and macOS, and says the game supports a fully offline installer without requiring GOG Galaxy.
What kind of game is Sleepytime Village?
It is a classic-style, single-player point-and-click adventure. Players take the role of Rufus, a neglectful, work-focused father who wakes in a strange storybook village and tries to find a way out. The store descriptions say he is confronted by the village’s residents, a narrator, and visions of his childhood.

Its storybook imagery should not be taken as a sign that it is a children’s game. The developers describe the tone as unsettling and atmospheric, with dark humor and psychological themes. Steam’s mature-content disclosure says the game contains crude and offensive swearing, which can be switched off, as well as accidental death.
