SMITE v10.3, titled Season of Hope, launched on March 28, 2023 in North America and Europe, and March 29 in Japan, according to the version-history page Perfectly Nintendo attributes to Hi-Rez. That page also reports that Hi-Rez disabled the new HUD after technical issues affected performance for some players. It is related historical context, not evidence that the HUD—or v10.3 itself—caused the crashes described here.
The sources do not identify a specific platform, repeatable trigger, or confirmed crash cause. Treat the steps below as platform-specific troubleshooting, not a diagnosis or promise of a fix.
How to troubleshoot SMITE crashes on PC
Hi-Rez’s PC troubleshooting guide, dated October 31, 2024, recommends checking installation files first, then trying administrator mode and reviewing Windows error history if crashes persist.

- Verify the game files in your launcher. In Steam, use “Verify integrity of game files” for SMITE. In Epic Games Launcher, use the game’s verify action. Hi-Rez notes verification may take several minutes.
- Try running the SMITE executable as administrator. Hi-Rez’s guide describes this as another troubleshooting step; it is not a guaranteed fix.
- Check Windows Reliability History. Open Windows Security and Maintenance, then Reliability History. Find the entry matching the crash date and inspect its details for an error or faulting application.
- Contact Hi-Rez support if it still crashes. Include a clear description and any error messages or Reliability History details. Useful context can include your launcher, Windows version, when the crash occurs, and whether verifying files changed anything.
Hi-Rez also mentions updated graphics drivers in its frame-rate section. That is performance guidance, not a crash-specific remedy in the guide. Its Ethernet suggestion appears under lag and connectivity, so changing network hardware should not be treated as a crash fix.
How to troubleshoot SMITE crashes on PlayStation
Hi-Rez’s PlayStation troubleshooting guide, dated June 24, 2024, recommends clearing saved data and cache, restarting the console, and reinstalling SMITE. It says these steps do not affect your account. Follow the guide’s current console menu instructions, since wording can vary with system software.

- Reinstall SMITE if the crashes continue.
- Get support if needed. Hi-Rez directs players to its Helper Chat/support and asks them to share issue details and any error messages.
The guide also mentions checking for PlayStation system updates in its connectivity section, rather than as a crash-specific step. Its Ethernet advice is likewise about lag and connection problems, not crashes.
What Xbox and Switch players should do
The sources cited here do not provide a current official Xbox crash procedure, so do not assume the PlayStation steps apply to Xbox. For Switch, the version-history page reports the historical v10.3 HUD issue and says a restart was recommended to load the classic HUD. That does not diagnose present-day crashes or establish a current support workflow. Use platform-specific Hi-Rez support rather than applying another console’s instructions.

What to include in a support request
When contacting Hi-Rez, describe the problem precisely so support can distinguish a crash from lag or a disconnection. Include details that apply to your setup:
- Platform and, where relevant, launcher or console model.
- Operating-system or console system-software version.
- When the crash happens, such as at launch, during a match, or after a particular action.
- Any on-screen error code, message, or Windows Reliability History entry.
- Whether file verification, clearing local data, or reinstalling changed the behavior.
Hi-Rez’s guides direct players to support for persistent problems; Steam’s SMITE technical-issue page also identifies official Hi-Rez support routes.
