The game places players in the role of an American sniper in a modern conflict in Georgia, near the Russian border. Technical polish
Launch-era reviews raised concerns about bugs and loading, alongside inconsistent AI. Gaming Nexus wrote in its 2017 review, “Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is a game that just wasn’t ready to be released.” The review also recognized effective gameplay mechanics and an interesting environment, while criticizing bugs, the plot and multiplayer as it stood at that time. CI Games’ 2020 activity report identifies Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 as a first-person shooter released in April 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in physical and digital versions.
