Start with the hunter and weapon-skill combination you plan to use, then treat tier lists as dated shortlists—not universal draw orders. Pocket Gamer’s September 2, 2026 ranking for version 1.4.46 highlights four Custom Draw priorities for players focusing on weapons, while Netmarble’s August 27 update introduced a new Sung Jinwoo-exclusive SSR weapon and confirmed balance changes.
Which weapons are the strongest right now?
Pocket Gamer’s weapon and hunter tier list, updated September 2, 2026 and marked for version 1.4.46, puts many weapons in its overall S+ tier. When focusing on weapons in Custom Draw, it specifically recommends prioritizing these four:
- Demonic Plum Flower Sword
- The Huntsman
- Thethis’ Grimoire
- Demon King’s Longsword
Those are Pocket Gamer’s editorial recommendations, not an official Netmarble ranking. Its broader S+ tier also includes Tome of the Aurora, Soma & Asura, Stormbringer, Winchester Roke, Transfiguration Key, Winterbreaker, Suppressed White Tiger’s Soul, Eternal Slumber, Night-Thoughts, The Sword of Light, Howling White Tiger’s Soul, West Wind, and Radiru Clan’s Double-edged Spear, among others. S+ placement alone does not establish that every weapon is equally valuable for every hunter, build, or game mode.
Other tiers in Pocket Gamer’s snapshot
The same version 1.4.46 list places Vulcan’s Rage Purgatorial Inferno, Crimson Shadow, Phantomblade, Night-cleaving Flash, Ennio’s Roar, Unbreakable Will, The Place Bathed in Moonlight, The Weight of Responsibility, Valkyrie’s Oath, Demon King’s Daggers, Bunny Bunbun, Phoenix Soul, Moonshadow, Shadow Scythe, Unparalleled Bravery, Solid Logic, A Gentle Touch, Equivalent Exchange, Intercept, Radiru Family’s Longbow, and Orb of Avarice in S.

How to choose a weapon for your hunter
- Choose the hunter or team you actually intend to build. A weapon’s tier matters less if it does not fit the character you plan to field.
- Check for the hunter’s default weapon. Pocket Gamer says equipping a hunter with their default weapon makes that hunter stronger, and advises considering the weapon alongside a top hunter. The guide does not give a universal numerical damage increase, so compare the in-game effects rather than assuming a fixed gain.
- Read the weapon and skill descriptions together. Netmarble describes combat customization as selecting combinations of weapons and skills. Consider what the weapon contributes to your planned combination; the available rankings do not prove one choice is best across all combinations.
- Check current availability and effects before spending draw resources. Confirm the current in-game details, including whether a weapon is available in the draw you intend to use. Do not assume an older list still reflects the latest balance or availability.
Why rankings can change
Netmarble’s August 27, 2026 update announcement introduced Spirit Blade: Snowstorm, an SSR weapon exclusive to Sung Jinwoo, and said that select Sung Jinwoo weapons, hunters, and artifact set effects received balance adjustments. That update predates Pocket Gamer’s September 2 tier-list revision, but subsequent changes could still alter the value of a weapon or build.
