Yes—the Solo Leveling x Frieren crossover happened as an official collaboration in the mobile and online action RPG Solo Leveling: ARISE. Netmarble announced the update for October 23, 2025, with Frieren, Fern, and Stark joining the game as Hunters. It is a game crossover, not evidence that the anime or manga now share an ongoing canon.
What was the Solo Leveling x Frieren crossover?
Netmarble described an original story set within Solo Leveling: ARISE, following Frieren and her party on an adventure in the game’s world. The company’s English feature, published October 27, 2025, says players could meet the characters in-game starting October 23. Its Korean press release, dated October 23, 2025, announced the collaboration update.
Netmarble’s feature puts the premise plainly: “In this collaboration, an original story unfolds, following Frieren and her party as they embark on a unique adventure within the world of Solo Leveling: ARISE.” That describes a story made for the game; it does not establish a continuing crossover in either franchise’s anime or manga.
Which Frieren characters and crossover content were included?
Frieren, Fern, and Stark as Hunters
The English announcement names Frieren, Fern, and Stark as the three characters who joined Solo Leveling: ARISE as Hunters. The crossover therefore brings Frieren’s party into the game’s Hunter framework rather than announcing a separate animated or print release.

Aura and a weapon for Sung Jinwoo
Netmarble’s Korean announcement also describes a boss encounter featuring Aura and a Hero’s Sword weapon for Sung Jinwoo. These are game-specific elements of the collaboration, alongside its original in-game story.
Why the pairing makes sense
The franchises approach fantasy from different starting points. The official Frieren anime introduction describes a story set after the Hero’s party defeats the Demon King. Frieren, a mage who has lived for more than a thousand years, continues her journey and meets new people. The official Solo Leveling anime synopsis, by contrast, centers on gates linking another dimension to the human world, Hunters who enter dungeons, and Sung Jinwoo’s growth after starting as a low-rank Hunter.
Rank #2
- SUNG JINWOO: Climb the hunter ranks with Total Anime Sung Jinwoo
- SOLO LEVELING: 9-inch deluxe PVC statue is based on the popular anime Solo Leveling
- DYNAMIC POSE: Jinwoo is posed in a dynamic battle stance inspired by the show
- DISPLAY BASE: Includes exciting environmental display base of black flames
That contrast gives the crossover its appeal: Frieren’s long view of life and post-quest journey meet Solo Leveling’s modern Hunter-and-dungeon action. It is a natural creative fit for a game event, even though the official descriptions do not claim the two series share a broader canon.

The official announcements establish that the event launched in October 2025, but they do not establish whether it remains accessible in October 2026 or which regions can currently access it. Netmarble’s official Solo Leveling: ARISE site is the appropriate place to check the game itself; the cited crossover pages alone are not confirmation of present-day availability.
