Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set for a US theatrical release on March 19, 2027. Paramount’s movie listing and a SEGA announcement both give that date. SEGA has also announced a multi-year merchandise licensing agreement with JAKKS Pacific and its costume division, Disguise—but it has not confirmed specific film-branded products or their availability.
When does Sonic the Hedgehog 4 come out?
Paramount lists Sonic the Hedgehog 4 for a US theatrical release on March 19, 2027. SEGA gave the same date in its March 10, 2026 announcement of the film’s merchandise licensing agreement. Paramount’s official movie listing and SEGA’s announcement are the primary sources for the date.
“Spring 2027” is accurate as a broad description, but March 19 is the specific date published by both companies. The confirmed date is for US theaters; the consulted official listings do not establish an international release schedule.
What Sonic 4 merchandise has been confirmed?
SEGA announced a multi-year merchandising license agreement with JAKKS Pacific and Disguise covering Sonic the Hedgehog 4. SEGA identifies JAKKS as a toy and consumer-products manufacturer, while Disguise is its costume division. The agreement confirms a planned merchandising relationship, not a particular toy, costume, product launch date, or retail listing.
#1 Best Overall
- Sonic The Hedgehog Sonic 3 Movie 5" Action Figures: Sonic With Emerald Wave #3
That distinction matters if you are looking for a Sonic 4 figure or costume now: the announcement does not establish that any specific item is available. Treat a product as tied to the fourth film only if its own current listing explicitly identifies that connection; otherwise, it may be general Sonic franchise merchandise.
What else is confirmed—and what is not?
SEGA reported on January 22, 2025 that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 had reached $425 million in worldwide box office, compared with $405 million for the preceding film. That is historical context for the series, not a forecast of Sonic the Hedgehog 4’s box office. SEGA’s 2025 announcement gives the figures.
