Sony’s $100 PS5 and PS5 Pro discounts were part of a limited-time Black Friday 2025 promotion, not a current deal. The offer began November 21, varied by region and retailer, and has expired. Sony’s later U.S. recommended prices, effective April 2, 2026, were $649.99 for PS5, $599.99 for PS5 Digital Edition, and $899.99 for PS5 Pro.
What Sony announced for Black Friday 2025
Sony announced its promotion on November 18, 2025. It said offers would begin November 21 for a limited time across PlayStation Store, direct.playstation.com where available, PlayStation Gear, and participating retailers. Sony emphasized that offers varied by region and retailer, so the U.S. discount amounts were not a promise that every market or seller would match them. Sony’s U.S. announcement was written by Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President, Global Marketing, Sony Interactive Entertainment.
U.S. console discounts
The U.S. announcement advertised $100 USD off PS5 consoles and PS5 Digital Edition consoles in select regions, and a separate $100 USD discount on PS5 Pro. These were advertised savings during the promotion, not current prices or evidence of a continuing discount.
Bundles were listed separately
The U.S. post also listed recommended prices for Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundles: $399.99 for the 825GB PS5 Digital Edition bundle and $449.99 for the 1TB PS5 bundle. Those bundle prices are distinct from the $100 console discounts; actual prices and availability could vary.

Discounts differed by market
The U.S. figures should not be generalized internationally. Sony’s Spanish-language announcement listed €100 off PS5 consoles and €150 off PS5 Digital Edition consoles in certain regions, plus €100 off PS5 Pro. Sony’s Spain announcement identifies those euro amounts.
Sony’s Italian announcement said the promotion applied in some regions and directed customers to retailers including Amazon Italy, MediaWorld, Unieuro, Euronics, and GameLife. Sony’s Italy announcement illustrates why local retailer terms mattered. In Korea, Sony described a retail promotion running November 20 through December 3, 2025, covering PS5, PS5 Digital Edition, and PS5 Pro, with buyers directed to participating official retailers for local discounts and stock. Sony’s Korea announcement said the maximum advertised console discount was 20%.

Are PS5 consoles still $100 off?
No—not as part of the Black Friday 2025 promotion. That limited-time offer has ended. Sony’s March 27, 2026 pricing announcement set new U.S. recommended retail prices effective April 2, 2026:
| Console | U.S. recommended price effective April 2, 2026 |
|---|---|
| PS5 | $649.99 |
| PS5 Digital Edition | $599.99 |
| PS5 Pro | $899.99 |
These are Sony’s recommended U.S. prices, not guaranteed live prices at every retailer. For other territories, Sony advised checking local retailers or direct.playstation.com where available. The current price or stock at a particular seller cannot be inferred from the historical promotion. Sony’s March 27, 2026 pricing update says the increase reflected continued pressures in the global economic landscape.

Other Black Friday offers were separate
Sony’s U.S. post advertised discounts on other PlayStation products alongside the console deals: $100 USD off PlayStation VR2, $20 off PlayStation Portal, $20 off Pulse Elite, $30 off Pulse Explore, $30 off DualSense Edge, $20 off DualSense, and $20 off the Access controller. It also listed discounts on selected PS5 games and PlayStation Plus. These were separate promotional categories, not extra reductions on PS5 consoles, and the announcement does not establish current prices or stock for them.
