Charlotte and a broad group of other characters sit in S tier in Pocket Gamer’s Soul Strike ranking, updated September 3, 2026 for version 3.2.6. Treat it as a useful shortlist rather than a definitive answer: the guide draws on its author’s experience and community information, and it does not rank characters separately by game mode.
What the Soul Strike tier list means
Pocket Gamer’s ranking groups characters into S, A, and B tiers. It says S-tier characters can carry players through every stage, including later stages; A-tier characters can cover much of the game but rely more on team synergy. B tier signals a weaker relative position, not that a character is unusable.
The list is unofficial. Its author, Mihail Katsoris, says it reflects personal experience and information gathered from the community, and cautions that no tier list is absolute. The page provides no reproducible scoring rubric, character-by-character testing protocol, matchup table, win rates, or mode-specific rankings. See Pocket Gamer’s Soul Strike tier list.

The guide suggests replacing B-tier allies when stronger options become available, while noting that they are not completely useless. A character’s usefulness still depends on the team and the content being played.
How to use the ranking when choosing allies
- Use tier as a shortlist. If you have several options, the list gives a broad indication of which characters its author rates more highly.
- Check your team’s synergy. The guide specifically says A-tier allies depend more on how they work with the rest of the team. A higher placement alone does not establish that a character is the right fit for your lineup.
- Account for progression. Pocket Gamer says S-tier performance extends into later stages and A-tier characters can carry players through much of the game. It does not provide stage-by-stage rankings or a threshold for when a character should be replaced.
- Consider the mode. The list is a general ranking, not a PvP-versus-progression breakdown. Com2uS has described a companion arena PvP mode with six competitive league tiers, but that announcement does not establish current character balance or arena rankings. Read the Com2uS Holdings announcement.
Names and ranking limits to keep in mind
Some names appear in more than one tier, including Zeros, Eve, Jiwoo Seo, Zion, Rebecca, and Ran. The page also includes similar-looking entries such as “Roy Mustand” in S tier and “Roy” in B tier, plus “Versper” and “Vesper.” The extract notes that some characters may have variants or different elements, but does not identify every duplicate’s form. Check the exact in-game character and variant before applying a tier placement to a specific ally.
