South Korea beat Chinese Taipei 3-0 in the League of Legends final at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games on October 2, 2026. The victory secured South Korea’s second consecutive gold in the event and completed its esports schedule with five medals: two gold, one silver and two bronze.
How South Korea won the final
The final was played at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, near Nagoya. Yonhap reported that South Korea defeated Chinese Taipei by a 3-0 score on October 2, 2026. The event results site identifies the competition as the 20th Asian Games; contemporaneous coverage also calls it the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Yonhap named the winning six-player team as Lee Sang-hyeok, known as Faker, Choi Woo-je, Kim Geon-woo, Ryu Min-seok, Kim Gun-bo and Lee Min-hyung. Lee earned his second Asiad gold with the victory. Yonhap News Agency’s final report covers the match and team roster.
South Korea’s five esports medals
The five-medal figure is South Korea’s esports total at Aichi-Nagoya, not its overall medal count across all Asian Games sports. SBS reported the esports haul as two gold, one silver and two bronze medals. The available results do not establish the country’s complete Games-wide medal tally. SBS’s report gives the esports breakdown.
