South Park: Snow Day! is a 3D cooperative action game starring the New Kid. The official site describes playing with up to three friends, using matchmaking, or going solo alongside ally bots. That format is a notable departure from the previous 2D role-playing games. PC Gamer described Snow Day! as a “side entry” alongside the franchise’s more ambitious RPGs. Platforms, release, and additional content
South Park: Snow Day! launched on March 26, 2024, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC, according to the announcement from South Park Digital Studios and THQ Nordic. South Park Studios release announcement
THQ Nordic said the launch included a free additional mode, “To Danse With Ravenous Shadows.” It also described a six-part Season Pass containing a mode, weapons, a weapon variation, and cosmetic packs. The official site documents game content and provides guidance for multiplayer connectivity and claiming Season Pass content. Which edition should you look for?
At launch, South Park Studios listed US suggested retail prices of $29.99 for Standard, $49.99 for Digital Deluxe, and $219.99 for the limited Collector’s Edition. These are historical launch prices, not current offers. The Collector’s Edition announcement described a copy of the game, a Grand Wizard Cartman snow globe, a talking toilet-paper holder, a knit beanie, six tarot cards, and the original soundtrack.
